Esholt Camping and Caravan Site is set in the West Yorkshire village of Esholt, the original filming location of Emmerdale. The site has grass pitches with optional electrical hook ups, suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans. There is an onsite bar with outdoor seating looking over the sports grounds. The site is an ideal base to explore Yorkshire located just 35 minutes from Leeds and one hour from York.

About the site
The site is located in Esholt Village, tucked behind the local sports and leisure clubhouse. Emmerdale was shot from 1976 to 1997 in Esholt Village and still has many recognisable locations, including The Woolpack pub. The pub is just a ten minutes walk from the site for fans to stop by and have a pint. This simple site has 38 flat 4m x 8m grass pitches with optional 16 amp electrical hook ups, suitable for tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans. There are chemical disposal points onsite. The site is adjacent to the sports grounds associated with the clubhouse and holds regular local cricket and football matches in the summer months, so there may be a bit more noise than on non fixture days. Please note, the onsite clubhouse bar is open to members of the public, but the toilets and showers are for guests of the campsite only. Your four legged friends are able to join you on your stay, with up to two dogs per pitch. BBQs are allowed but must be raised off the ground. Open fires are not permitted onsite.

*Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
*The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act
*No hen/stag parties
*Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
*Guests are welcome in the clubhouse, which is generally open most evenings and weekends during summer whilst sports are being played.
Things to do on site and in the Bradford area
The site is a great base for exploring Yorkshire. The village of Esholt itself is an attraction for Emmerdale fans as it was used for the external village scenes between 1976 and 1997. Many village locations were made famous by the show. The Woolpack pub exterior featured in the soap opera is still around to visit and enjoy a meal.
There are plenty of golf courses and driving ranges nearby for avid players, including Ghyll Beck Golf Driving Range (ten minute walk), The Bradford Golf Club (5 minute drive) and Hollins Hall Hotel, Golf and Country Club (five minute drive).
For those looking for a day outdoors, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is just a 40 minute drive from site. You can tackle the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge or watch the sun go down and take in the stars in the broad Yorkshire skies.
