Your questions answered
How well do you rank on Google?
We rank top of Google's organic search results for many of the industry's biggest volume camping and glamping search phrases - at a national, county and town level, as well as for searches around major attractions.
We also rank very well for more niche searches such as dog friendly and year round campsites.
Try a few searches for yourself! :-) As you'll see from the logos above, we also get quite a lot of press exposure too.
We aren't sure that we can afford to spend any more money on marketing?
We want to list every camping, glamping and touring site in the UK on Campsites.co.uk - and a basic listing is completely free.
Become bookable and you'll maximise your exposure, only paying when we generate a booking for you. Our commission rates are amongst the lowest available - 20% lower than the industry norm.
Will your website generate any enquiries for us?
We are in the top tier of camping websites, ranking strongly for major search phrases on both the Google and Bing search engines.
Even free listings will typically get thousands of pounds worth of booking enquiries from us each year.
Our Camping Insider email newsletter (over 170,000 subscribers) and our social media channels are also popular.
But we don't offer tent camping?
While tent campers are our bread and butter, tourers and glampers are both big segments of our audience too, despite the Campsites.co.uk name.
Particularly with glamping, there's more overlap than you might initially think. In a recent survey of 4,000+ of our customers, 11% identified themselves as primarily glampers - and we list more UK glamping sites than most.
We also have dedicated sister websites for touring, glamping and other accommodation niches. It's outdoorsy holidays that our audience love!
We don't like paying commission for bookings though?
We understand that some sites are sceptical of paying commission. Our goal is add value by helping you fill pitches which would otherwise have stayed empty.
Ultimately all marketing can be measured on the basis of ROI or cost per booking. The main difference with commission is that you know that cost in advance - and only pay for bookings you get.
We don't ask for any minimum commitment on allocation and you are welcome to block out any dates or vary allocations as you wish. Provisional bookings offer a way of talking to guests before confirming bookings.
Some sites choose only to open up late availability during peak season, and we even have a dedicated "midweek and off peak bookings" option if you prefer.
It's important to us that we are a good partner to your business and that we mirror your existing policies and support your relationship with guests.
It's also fair to say that our audience now expects to be able search for sites with confirmed availability for their specific dates and then instantly book online.
We already advertise on several websites and I'm not convinced we need to list on another one?
There are plenty of camping websites out there, but relatively few which can deliver much of a return for your effort.
Our huge audience books millions of £ worth of camping, glamping and touring stays each year.
Campers aren't short of choice of campsites and caravan parks to stay at in most areas of the UK. We can help give yours an edge over your local competition.
We already get enough bookings from Pitchup and other sites?
Great, we're delighted you're popular!
However, if you're not already fully booked then what's the harm in listing with us too? Our online bookings service is 20% cheaper than Pitchup, and it costs nothing to try a free basic listing.
Competition is good for the camping industry and will help drive down the average cost of each enquiry you receive.
And you did compare our Google rankings with theirs, right?
But maintaining our listings across several websites is such a hassle?
Setting up your advert should take less than 30 minutes and we're happy to offer any assistance you'd like to help you with it. As soon as you've signed up, we'll also send you our step-by-step listing optimisation guide which will show you how to make the most of the opportunity.
We also have integrations with most booking management software providers, allowing us to import your availability feed (and push bookings straight into your system if you're bookable with us).
Is there a best time of year to list?
If your park is open and not fully booked, the best time to sign up is now – and we'll start generating interest immediately.
Even if you're closed over the winter, our statistics show that a third of campers prefer to book well in advance. The only really quiet months for enquiries are November and December.
What if we're not happy after we sign up?
We understand that we work for you and will work hard to get things just as you'd like them.
As a bookable listing, we won't tie you into any sort of minimum allocation or minimum term.
