Set in the lovely Dales and close to part of the popular Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge at Ingleborough, Stackstead Farm's location is hard to beat. There are options to suit everyone with cosy pods, a tempting shepherd's hut, Certified Location hardstanding pitches and tent pitches too.
About Stackstead Farm
Stackstead Farm is located just a mile from the centre of the pretty Yorkshire Dales village of Ingleton, with stunning views of Ingleborough, one of Yorkshire's famous Three Peaks. The 4-acre, lawned site offers five camping pods, two of which are larger and include an ensuite and kitchenette. The other 3 have either a double bed or two singles as well as a fridge and kettle. All 5 pods have underfloor heating throughout, keeping them cosy in the winter months. There's also an ensuite shepherd's hut that's set in its own private garden for hire. With cast iron wheels, a solid oak chassis and Siberian larch making up the lovely shepherd's hut, it's a beautiful getaway, surrounded by farmland. It is an ideal couples' retreat and includes a well-equipped kitchenette with a mini fridge, two-ring hob and toaster, an indoor seating area with a dining table and a TV and DVD player. There is a comfortable double bed that can be hidden in the wall during the day, underfloor heating, log burner and a fabulous BBQ outside on the terrace. Stays in the shepherd's hut also include complimentary access to the on site leisure centre for an hour each day (when booked in advance). There are five Certified Location touring pitches that are secluded and offer electric hook up and beautiful views as well as a small grass camping area with a further five pitches. Dogs are welcome with tourers (on a lead at all times) and in the pods, but they cannot stay in the shepherd's hut.

Things to do on site and in the Ingleton area
Ingleton has many shops, pubs and cafes and is a great destination for active outdoor breaks. The village is nestled on the lower slopes of Ingleborough and has many wonderful walks, including the famous waterfalls trail. If you prefer to explore underground the White Scar caves (the largest show caves in England) are just two miles away.
There are also excellent mountain biking trails and plenty of opportunities for canoeing, horse riding and fishing.
Don't miss the opportunity to explore the wonderful villages nearby. The Cumbrian market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is only 5 miles away (Ruskin's View was immortalised in Turner's famous painting). The pretty market town of Settle is just 10 miles away, with stunning scenery and colourful shops.
The Dales village of Hawes is 17 miles away and has a wonderful Yorkshire Dales museum and the famous Wensleydale cheese factory - think of the famous Wallace and Grommit line: "it's real Wensleydale, Grommit!"
For the less adventurous you can simply unwind and enjoy the site, perhaps getting fit in the fully kitted out leisure centre or dipping into the site's relaxing spa.
