About The Apple Farm

The Apple Farm offers tent camping on grass, off grid with toilets and showers. This is a working farm where you will see cattle chickens mini sheep and some friendly pigs! The farm is 55 acres in total with much of the land available for you to enjoy. With so much space you are truly able to relax, and there's plenty of seclusion if that's what you're looking for. Or why not book the entire site to enjoy with friends? The site has a small number of luxurious bell tents that are fully equipped for your relaxing break. Just stroll up, with the tasty food you plan on enjoying during your stay, and your four-legged family members are also more than welcome! The bell tents are nestled within the orchards and each has its own BBQ, firepit outside and picnic table, as well as a private bathroom. Evenings at the farm are certainly special, with panoramic views and amazing sunsets. Take a stroll and you are most likely to see an abundance of wildlife including rabbits, deer, foxes, buzzards and even a weasel! Or relax with a glass of cider pressed from the apple trees that surround you. This is an off grid site so you might even get the kids to forget all about screens and telly!

A note from the site themselves...

I lived in Australia for 14 years, and while I loved it, I was unhappy professionally. When my father was suddenly seriously ill, I was forced to get the next flight home.

It had been eight years since I had been home in the summer, and I was reminded of how amazing our countryside is! I grew up on a farm, and my family had recently added 55 acres of a derelict fruit farm (soon to become The Apple Farm). I could see so many opportunities for a glamping site.

Dad sadly passed away in the Spring of 2016, which slowed our plans down for a while. He thought glamping was a great idea, and I'm sure he would be proud of where we are now. We added the camping meadow in 2021 and that now has eight off-grid camping pitches.

I planned our glamping site in the middle of the apple orchards and ultimately created a place that I would love to stay in, "the ultimate countryside experience"!

We look forward to welcoming you, Charlotte

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024

Great get away from the world. Peace and tranquillity in a beautiful setting. Pitches are very secluded, and you don't even realise you have neighbours. I would highly recommend.

Bell Tent - Traditional Bell TentsJun 2024

Apple Farm is a lovely site to get away from it all. It's a working farm with lots of animals so if you enjoy the chance to get close to nature this is the site for you. Mandy, who looks after the site, is very friendly and helpful. She can give you information about all the animals and provide introductions 🙂 We were able to help bottle feed two beautiful calves. A particular highlight is Russel the Raven. Mandy rescued him after he fell out of the nest and was abandoned by his family. He is adorable and so tame. We stayed in one of the standard Bell tents, which was very comfortable and cosy. The facilities are clean and practical. The site is off grid so there is electricity in the tents, a welcome escape from the screens of modern life. We would highly recommend this site for a quiet, though obviously not silent, break from the world.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2024

What a lovely little campsite. I can't wait to return again. We were in the meadow which had about 8 different pitches all separated by long grass which gave a sense of privacy. The facilities were in the orchard next door, so just a little walk past the Hens and Pigs. The added bonus of a shared fridge/freezer was brilliant, especially for milk/meat etc. It's located on The Monarch's Way so you can walk into Stratford cross country. There's also a farm shop/cafe a short stroll away past the sheep and cows where they sell exceptionally good ice cream. The owners of the campsite were very welcoming and helped when I had a couple of queries.
