Things to do when camping in Ceredigion
The County of Ceredigion has family friendly attractions, lovely open spaces, and a fantastic arts and cultural scene. The landscape that surrounds it offers scenic walks and a trip to the RSPB Ynyshir Nature Reserve is a must. There area has seven hides at Ynyshir for you to fully experience the wildlife and nature of this area.
The Aberystwyth Arts Centre offers plenty of events and things to see. With cinema screens, dance and theatrical performances and a variety of exhibitions it has something for everyone.
Llanerchaeron is an 18th century stately home that is well worth a visit. It is now a working farm so great for animal lovers too. Families may also enjoy a trip to the Vale of Rheidol Railway, and the Strata Florida Abbey which is steeped in history. The Magic of Life Butterfly House will charm old and young alike, as will the Borth Animalarium and Penglais Nature Reserve. Aberystwyth Castle dates back to Edwardian times and is also an interesting spot.
Walkers and cyclists alike will enjoy a trip to the Cambrian Mountains where you can spot the famous red kites. Bwlch Nant Yr Arian offers three cycling and three walking trails as well as children's play areas and a nice cafe too. Constitution Hill is a fantastic spot for walks, as is Pen Dinas and the Ystwyth Trail. Devils Bridge Falls is another popular attraction with three imposing bridges over the River Mynach. Cardigan Bay is also well worth a visit and is where you can enjoy the beautiful coastline and take a boat trip to go dolphin spotting.
