A note from the site themselves...

The original grounds of where Woodlake Campsite is now started as eight acres of unkept woodland and lake with not much wildlife visiting. So, we bought the place in 2015 and started work clearing and thinning the woodland and clearing the lake to encourage more wildlife to visit.

We then decided also to create and open the campsite so visitors could also enjoy watching the local wildlife and for people who like photography or to stargaze as we are fortunate to have no light pollution.

Also, the finance that is gained from our campsite is put back into our future wildlife projects like bird boxes/feeding of the birds, and keeping the lake healthy for visiting birds.
