Walks between Malham Cove and Malham Tarn are a great way to stretch your legs or why not go on the hunt for crashing waterfalls and great photo opps with the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail - less than a half hour from base.

You'll have only scatched the surface, however, so go deep and discover a world of mysterious caves, such as the Ingleborough and White Scar caves.

Biggest of all local challenges (and something to crow about after) is the 600+ metre peak of Pen-y-Ghent. If you get a taste for all it, there are many more peaks to tempt you and you can move on to the Yorkshire Three Peaks

Rest those legs on a steam train ride from Horton-in-Ribblesdale or see trains snake their way across the Hogwarts Express' track - otherwise known as Ribblehead Viaduct.
