St Leonards Farm Caravan and Camping Park is within 30 minutes of some of Bournemouth's best beaches, and just a few miles from Ringwood and the New Forest. There are grass and hardstanding pitches with and without electric for tents and tourers, as well as fully furnished bell tents and shepherd's huts. A quiet, family run site with modern facilities and a children's play park, football pitch and indoor soft play area.

We did have a loud neighbour having an argument on her mobile and I am sure if we had reported it, it would have been dealt with but would be concerned that it would have made the situation worse. Maybe worth having somebody walking around checking everything is ok. This has not stopped us from using the site again, however!

Perfect campsite for all ages. The site and facilities were immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful. Flat and even pitches. Great value for money. Sainsbury's, Lidl and McDonalds are within walking distance.

I have stayed at many campsites and this one let me down. There were around 15 speed bumps leading down to our pitch and these were very fierce. The park closes its gates at 10.30pm so you are restricted from being out later than that. There are no shops on site. If you want to get milk, etc. you have to walk out of the campsite and go through a subway under a dual carriage way to get to a petrol station shop. The shower/toilet block is outdated, although is kept clean. The shower cubicles are very small and there is nowhere to store your towels or clothes so you have to leave them outside the cubicle. There are openings either side of all the pitches which people keep walking through and on several occasions people were tripping on our guy ropes. We found the site to be noisy at night, there were several other campers staying up to at least 3am and not giving respect to others. A lot of other campers told them to keep the noise down but were ignored. I would not be staying at this particular site again, I have stayed at others for the same sort of price and had much more of an enjoyable stay than this one. And with all this, we cut our stay short and left one night early.
Site's response
Thank you for your comments. Regarding the speed humps, these are to BS standard and are fit for purpose. They are a necessity for safety reasons to keep speed down on site. As we are a family park with kids on site, this is very important. If you drive over them slowly in first gear you will not have any issues. Again the gates are shut for security reasons and we advise the times on site. Most guests are happy with this. We do not advertise any shops on site and there is a general store across the road and a Sainsbury's 5 mins drive. We are sorry you were disturbed and if you had advised the wardens, they would have looked into it and asked the persons causing the noise to be quiet. We must say that such issues are a rarity on our site which is a quiet family park.

Lovely park, beautiful grounds and the facilities on site were plenty and clean really hot showers with great pressure! We were put in the Meadow, it seemed like a lovely spot when we turned up. There is a very big play park in the middle of the meadow which is great for family's. Really friendly staff who stopped and chatted. We came to visit Bournemouth for the weekend, it's just a little more then a 20 minute drive to Bournemouth from the site. Local takeaways delivered to the site which is a great convenience, only a short walk to a local shop for any supplies!

Lovely site, great amenities and the staff were so helpful. The hot showers were lovely after a day at the beach. Spaces were a bit tight for electric, but nothing to complain about there really. Everyone was very respectful and quiet in the evenings. We went with two teens and a 4yr, and all had a great stay.

Toilets were ok, never seemed to be cleaned. Shower was way too hot & pressure was really low & not many of them. Location good for Poole & New Forest. Was very busy so not much space around tent. Liked they had food van on-site 3 nights & Sunday am.

Well organised camping! Despite the fact that was a very busy weekend there were no big queues for using the facilities! We had great time there.

Having just bought a T6 camper I was looking for somewhere local and quiet to try it out with the kids. The site was lovely, well spaced out with facilities close by and clean. The staff were amazing and made us all feel welcome. Would definitely recommend and will be returning soon.

We have just returned home after a 3 night Bank Holiday stay for Easter and we couldn't recommend this site enough!! From cleanliness, to facilities, the play area, staff friendliness and helpfulness - it was great. The site staff even put on an Easter event for the children which was completely free. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning :)

The park is well set up and the pitches are well kept. The only downside is the lack of WiFi and the one narrow road to get in and out of the park, it can be quite frustrating when you have to keep reversing back up the lane to let towing cars in, a small passing place halfway down would eliminate this. Other than that, it's a lovely place to stay. There is a supermarket, fast food place, pub, chip shop and garage all within walking distance.

I was lucky with the weather - beautiful sunshine during the day but cold at night. The new shower block is excellent - individual bathrooms basically! Could do with a light (maybe movement activated) in the washing up area - especially in the winter, you are not going to be eating an evening meal in daylight and I can't face leaving the washing up until morning. But other than that it was excellent.

A lovely site with lots to do locally. We had our dog with us and we managed long walks along the beach as well as some lovely walks in the local woods and nature reserves. Staff were helpful and the site was spotlessly clean and tidy. Very easy to get to and close to local amenities and some good dog friendly pubs. Only issue we had was the power of the showers was not very good, but given it was low season and main block was not open, I suspect they would be better. Overall a lovely few days away and we will certainly be going back. Thank you.
