St Leonards Farm Caravan and Camping Park is within 30 minutes of some of Bournemouth's best beaches, and just a few miles from Ringwood and the New Forest. There are grass and hardstanding pitches with and without electric for tents and tourers, as well as fully furnished bell tents and shepherd's huts. A quiet, family run site with modern facilities and a children's play park, football pitch and indoor soft play area.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Only PitchesMay 2023

Nice site, good location and ample size plot for my large tent. The soft play barn and park area were a hit with my 3 young children (9,7 and 3).

Excellent location and a lovely flat pitch. Would have liked a few more water points. A shame the water boiler broke and there was no hot water to shower and wash dishes- the walk to the other block was quite a distance and only half a dozen cubicles - so a bit of a wait. We were informed and appreciated that there was nothing else that could be done. It would be nice if Wi-Fi could be provided, even if there was a small fee. Overall a good stay.

Site's response

Thank you for your review and fair comments, Ray. We are glad you had a good overall stay and apologies again for the lack of hot water in the shower block, as you can appreciate these things are out of our hands when they decide to pack up on the weekends. Unfortunately, the control panel blew and new parts were required. Not easy to find on short notice. We hope it didn't spoil your stay too much and hope to see you back again at St Leonards Farm Park.

Good site. I think some hard standing pitches in the more open areas would be good.

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2023

Had 7 nights at St Leonard's. We found the site to be well set out, with plenty of space on the pitches. The toilet blocks were nice and clean, the only issue we found was that the showers we were one of those push buttons that turned off after a few seconds, but we still managed to shower ok. We had a lot of rain during our stay and was quite impressed with how well the ground held up on our grass pitch. The 10amp electric didn't cause us any issues either. Our children loved going to see the animals on site as well. Overall we had a good experience here and would stay again.

No shop on site

This site is lovely and quiet. Soft play and a big park for the children. Toilets and shower are clean. Only thing wrong is that there's is no shop on site and with the one way system, it can be a bit of a nightmare just to get a cold drink ect.

Very nice, clean place to stay

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesApr 2023

Not much in the sense of service. Warm welcome on arrival. ANPR camera didn't always pick up the van registration. Quite far out the way of things. Sainsbury's is a good 20 minute walk. Lidl is closed for refurb. Speed humps to the site not fun for the van. Peacocks on site are lovely. No closed off area for the dogs to have a run. Kids loved the park Facilities were clean. Showers were hot. Had power cut one night but didn't affect us. Fish and chip van on the Sunday night was lovely. Wouldn't stay again but only due to area as not much around. Locals on horses and carts, holding up the traffic, spoilt it for me.

Speed bumps certainly slow you down. The hedges are tight if you have a wide van.

I felt that they need stricter rules in bathrooms to help keep them cleaner. Once one person has walked in with shoes, you then have to. Showers were only just powerful enough to wash hair in, which was not ideal with children.

Great site, we had the field to ourselves most of the time. Showers and toilets were clean but the push button shower could do with updating. Friendly lady at reception. Great site but a shame about the weather!

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesFeb 2023

We have recently come back from a three-night stay at this campsite, staying on a good sized, hardstanding electric pitch. Check-in was quick and efficient. All public areas of the site are clean and well-maintained and we felt the site was very secure. The owners were very friendly and helpful (when we couldn't get our vehicle started). The site is in a good location with supermarkets and pubs nearby, and is within easy reach of Wimborne, Bournemouth and Poole. We will use this site again, when visiting family who live locally.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2022

Great greeting. It was Halloween, so the owners created an event for the children, which was nice for the families staying there. Electricity has a small supply of 10 amps, which limited the use of some electrical items. Unfortunately shower power needs updating as the water pressure was very low. Nice big cubicles that included shower, toilet and basin and it was clean. Overall, it was ok.

Good for a stopover

Good for a stopover but site has low amperage - be aware that there is a 10amp max.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2022

First time camping as a family, two adults, 3 year old and a 11 year old. Campsite was great, very spacious, with a great kids park in the middle of the campsite. The park has 4 swings, 2 toddler swings, a roundabout and another spinny thing. There are see-saws, slides, a zip line, a climbing frame and a toddler climbing wooden frame with slides and things. Both kids and adults loved it! Soft play is in a barn, so obviously not immaculate but you wouldn't expect it to be anyway. Great fun for both kids. There is seating in there and it's open all day. They've also got a farm that you can freely wander around with pigs, donkeys, sheep, chickens, peacocks, turkeys. All friendly and approached us when we went to them. Again, kids loved that. We had an electric pitch, so no issues there. So much space per pitch as well. The staff were so lovely and if you bumped into them while walking around, they have a chat. Toilet and showers, very clean. Saw cleaners in there multiple times too. Great water pressure too which is always handy. Lots of drinking water points as well. Literally a 10 min walk away is Lidl, Sainsburys, a Beefeater, McDonald's and some smaller shops too. Very handy for first time campers who forget everything. I have nothing bad to say about the campsite, our experience, the staff, the facilities - all of it was amazing. Will be retuning regularly now!

Site's response

Thank you for your lovely comments, we are so pleased you had such a good experience and look forward to welcoming you all back on park in the near future.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2022

Was a test run for a new tent, the pitches were just big enough for the 7x5m tent. The site was well kept and the staff were really helpful, thank you. For slightly smaller setups, a great place!

Trailer Tent - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2022

Lovely campsite, not too busy, which was a pleasure. Very good price and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that was not as good as it could have been was the toilet and shower block nearest to the tent. No curtain in the shower, which was a nuisance as clothing got wet, the shower was not as warm as it could have been & the block really needs some work done on the overall usability. The existing exit is onto a busy dual carriageway - be aware of the speed so that you have plenty of time to get out.

Lovely, friendly, well maintained and clean farm

Lovely friendly park, with good amenities and straight onto the A31 central to all areas. Two supermarkets on your doorstep, a pub and lots of local shops including a garage for fuel. Lovely location for all to enjoy including a good variety of wildlife as you'd expect on a farm.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2022

Our first time staying at St Leonards. A friendly, very clean campsite. Nice spacious pitches, play park and dog friendly, close to Lidl and Sainsbury. Would recommend, we even got to see some Peacocks, Cows and Sheep which my little man loved.
