St Leonards Farm Caravan and Camping Park is within 30 minutes of some of Bournemouth's best beaches, and just a few miles from Ringwood and the New Forest. There are grass and hardstanding pitches with and without electric for tents and tourers, as well as fully furnished bell tents and shepherd's huts. A quiet, family run site with modern facilities and a children's play park, football pitch and indoor soft play area.

We booked a hard standing campervan spot (Renault Master) for two nights over a bank holiday weekend. We booked it a few days before our stay and managed to get it for a really reasonable price considering there are very few places that allow two night stays over a bank holiday. It was very easy to find and we got a warm welcome on arrival. We were located in a nice quiet spot on the outskirts of the campsite and it looked like those with families were grouped together deeper in to the campsite. Very cleverly done. The toilets were relatively clean (4/5) compared to some other campsite toilets I've seen. The toilet floor and shower cubicle floor was a little muddy at times but it's a campsite, what do people expect! However, the toilets and showers are in the same room. It would make more sense to have separate shower blocks and separate toilet blocks to avoid queues. Even so, we didn't experience too much queueing but then again we weren't reliant on the toilets as we have a porta potty. The site was well kept, lots to do for children although we didn't get to check this out on this trip (didn't travel with kids on this occasion). The only negative was the site is located right near a road so it wasn't the idyllic countryside location we were expecting. We could've done with some nice nearby walking areas for the doggo, but not a huge deal, as we spent most of one day on Bournemouth beach (20 minute drive) and most of the next day, hiking the trails of New Forest (15 minute drive). The other negative was that the onsite food was really expensive and they didn't have anything vegetarian or vegan. We took our own food in anticipation of this, but would've liked to have tried the food. It was really good for a base. We didn't intend to spend a lot of time at the campsite, we just needed somewhere to sleep securely and electric hook-up for a kettle/coffee frother on a morning. It was really good for that purpose. Clean, tidy, helpful staff and easy to navigate around the site.

Nice site. Good location, nice big park for kids and the pitches themselves are level. Love that local food vans and a bar on wheels comes in on the weekends. The bathroom facilities could be improved. You have to keep pressing the button on the showers for them to keep running and the pressure isn't very strong. There aren't any shelves for you to put your stuff when showering, so it's quite difficult to keep your clean clothes dry etc. Would be handy to have an on site shop. Would probably visit again :)

I couldn't praise this site more. The couple running it truly go out of their way to help make sure you have a fab holiday. It's the little things that make a great difference. The kids had a great time in the park (we requested to have a pitch close to the park and we were literally next door where we could keep an eye on them while relaxing in the sun cooking dinner, dreamy) and soft play. The farm animals were an added bonus. We will definitely be back again. The shower block closer to the entrance was amazing! You can shower in your own locked room without the fear of a shower curtain exposing you to everyone! 100/10 ☺️

Great site, friendly approachable staff. Lovely pitches with plenty of space. Facilities clean and great range of visiting food vans and an ice cream van every evening. Great base for exploring the surrounding areas.

First time being on site and we absolutely loved it. My daughter loved the indoor play area and the park. We walked round and saw the animals which was amazing. Really recommend this site.

Really nice campsite. Great park and soft play for the kids. Good clean facilities. Would definitely book again. The only gripe was the showers had poor pressure coupled with push to work is a nightmare when trying to get three kids thought the shower.

We have just come back from staying here, it was a lovely and friendly place, we even added an extra night on our stay. Kids had a blast in the park and play barn, it was clean and tidy and the ice-cream van and pizza truck was lovely and very much enjoyed. Kids also enjoyed going around and looking at the animals there, would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to friends and family.

The bad weather did not stop us enjoying our stay. The site is level and well drained. The showers and toilet were constantly cleaned so that despite the muddy tracks, they remained usable. The location is a weak spot as there is constant road noise. It's a good distance from any attractions. Children are well catered for though, with play areas and animals to amuse them. Visiting food vans are a good idea, with a good selection of choices during the week. Overall, a well managed site. Eating out options are good nearby, as you might expect from the 'edge of town' location. Shopping is easy, but don't expect a rural idyll. For me, it's a trade off.

When we arrived we were greeted by friendly helpful staff. There were plenty of things on site to do. If we didn't want to go off-site. The site was lovely and well looked after. Looking around the site I don't think there is a pitch we would not have been happy with.

Good for dog lovers but might not be for those who aren't! We had a great two nights but did leave before the expected end of our stay due to dogs running around. My youngest daughter is afraid of dogs, so we needed to leave ☹️ Great site for families and dog lovers.
Site's response
Thanks for the review. Dogs are not permitted off the lead on the park and we received no comments to this effect while you were on site.

We recently stayed here for a gentle getaway with the view to exploring Bournemouth. On arrival, the campsite owner was really helpful and came out to greet us in the pouring rain. She explained exactly where we were and how to get to local amenities. Once we were pitched up, we walked to the local pub, only a ten minute walk from the campsite, where we had a great meal. On Sunday morning, we awoke to the food van preparing super breakfasts for which we indulged in! Following a good shower in the communal blocks, which are clean and more than adequate, we went off to Bournemouth beaches. The campsite has all you need for a quieter camping experience. Pitches are well kept and the electric hook ups are really accessible. Visiting food vans were great - big roasts and paella were super. There is even a visiting mobile bar. The site asks for no loud music and noise after 10.30 and everyone adhered to this, which was bliss. I would definitely book again even if the weather was poor!

Great place and very welcoming. Loads of local information and location is great to get to all areas. One thing just wished there was a small shop on the location.

We were very happy with staying at your campsite, thanks for looking after us. You work hard for this camping. Everything we needed was there (shower, toilets etc). We stayed in a tent for 6 days. It is very well located. Superstore is 5 minutes drive. The New Forest is about 10 minutes drive. It is a fantastic place. We went to Swanage for the day, it was absolutely beautiful. Took the steam train and went to Corfe Castle. It was really quiet on the campsite (we are used to packed camping places though). People were friendly and gave us some good tips. Just a nice place to spend your holiday. We will be back! Best regards from the Netherlands.

Good family site with a large playground, inside play area, dog walking area and a football pitch. Good clean facilities. Pitches a bit on the small side. Access roads very narrow. Close to a busy dual carriageway so a lot of traffic noise.

Nice site. Brilliant facilities & good local information available on check in. A little close to the main road is my only comment, but otherwise, a good location to explore Bournemouth & surrounding area.

A random pick of site to try our new caravan and towing vehicle. It was a van but that was not allowed to be parked on-site, but was shown somewhere to park it up to be kept safe- so staff were very helpful! Site was lovely and quiet, with all that we needed. The park and indoor play area were great, so as a whole we shall be visiting again!

Checked in no problem. The site was very quiet during our stay. The soft play and outdoor play area were great for the kids whilst we unpacked/packed etc. Would have been nice to have been allowed a campfire, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The pitches are quite close together so maybe this is part of the reason.
