About Shaw Ghyll Caravan and Camping
Beautifully located above Hawes, in Wensleydale, this campsite is surrounded by frothing waterfalls and sweeping fells. A patchwork network of greenery is all around you, dotted with pretty Yorkshire drystone walls. Simonstone and its amenities is only a quarter of a mile away. Shaw Ghyll's level pitches are on grass and hardstanding with 10-Amp electric hook-ups for tents and 16-Amp hook-ups for Caravans and Motorhomes.
Open from 1 April to 31 October
Site facilities include a shower and toilet block, with hair driers and shaver points. There are also undercover washing-up facilities.
There are good pubs serving food at Simonstone and Hardraw, within easy walking distance (0.25 or 0.5 of a mile).

Take a walk amongst the Dales' shimmering waterfalls - the local Hardraw Beck provides plenty of these - or hop on a bike and cycle the unmissable winding of the Buttertubs Pass. You won't be disappointed by any outing in the scenery of the Dales and the Aysgarth Force is also in reach!
When it's time to refuel, you'll find tasty pubs within a half mile of site, ready to give you a proper Yorkshire welcome.
Indulge your cheese habit at the Wensleydale Creamery and take in Hawes' pretty setting for a lovely day out.
