About Pennine View Park

If you are looking for a great base for a walking holiday or a relaxing family break, you may have found it. Nestled on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and within a 20 minute drive of both the Lake District National Park and the North Pennines Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty, this is a prime spot for exploring stunning landscapes. For those wanting to pitch up their tent, there are a range of grass pitches on offer, all measuring a spacious 8m x 8m. All come with an optional 16 amp electric, whilst some allow up to two guests in tents up to 5m x 3m, and others all ranges of tents and trailer tents, plus up to six guests. Tourers are also well catered for with spacious 8m x 8m pitches. Pick between grass, grass and hardstanding, and just hardstanding pitches. All come with a 16 amp electric hook up, allowing up to six guests each. Some of the touring pitches are positioned by the onsite bar (closes at 10pm in the summer) so may experience a little noise. If you are looking for a stopover on your walking holiday or simply prefer to travel light, one of the mountain pods could be the ideal option. Sleeping either four or five guests, each of the camping pods comes equipped with mattresses (bedding not provided) and heating, plus a fridge and kettle. For enjoying your outdoor space, there is also a BBQ and picnic bench. For those who enjoy a spot of al fresco cooking, BBQs are permitted as long as they are raised from the ground. Some fire pits are also allowed, but there must be checked and approved by park staff first. Dogs are also welcome to join you for your stay, just be sure to use one of the many nearby walks to exercise them off site.

Pennine View Park is open from 01/03 to 09/11.

A note from the site themselves...

Our park inhabits a historical railway goods yard and still has a few subtle hints of its history. The Engine Shed bar is in keeping with the theme and we have lovingly converted the old railway goods shed, keeping all the original features where possible to create a stylish bar with its railway heritage proudly displayed. We hope you get to come and see it soon, Rachael

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass and Hardstanding Touring PitchesOct 2024

My wife and I stayed for 1 evening on the way home from Scotland. We thought the toilets and dishwashing area were very clean. The Engine Shed was a treat, with a few drinks and a roast dinner. And finally, the river walk was a fantastic surprise. Well worth checking out.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Touring Pitches Oct 2024

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Scotland after doing the NC500, we wished we had more time to stay longer. We arrived after the reception had closed, but the information was left for us and everything was explained fully. The site was beautiful, exceptionally clean and there was plenty of space not to encroach on your neighbours. An added bonus was an onsite restaurant and bar, which we enjoyed a couple of drinks and some food. The facilities were immaculately clean, modern and a pleasure to use. We will definitely use this site again and we would thoroughly recommend.
