Why you'll love it at Vale View Caravan and Camping Park

About the site

This is an easy to find, small and friendly, family-run site with great views over the Vale Of Pickering, North Yorkshire and the Howardian Hills. Everything you need is close by as it's an easy five minute drive to the centre of Pickering or a 20-30 minute walk. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is five minutes away. Whitby, Scarborough, Malton, York, Castle Howard, Dalby Forest, Flamingo Land and many more sights are all within a forty minute drive. This is a good dry site, during the winter months there may be a chance of the ground being slippery, but bogging down has never been a problem. Tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome to stay on grass pitches, with or without electric. Pets are welcome to join you, too.

Pickering is incredibly well placed for access to the North Yorkshire Moors, a truly atmospheric place to explore the Great Outdoors and also the quaint charm of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

A lot of guests book in for the Pickering 1940's Wartime Weekend in October as the site is fantastically well situated for it.

You won't want to miss the nearby Eden Camp Museum, where history buffs can discover the site of a former POW camp and experience the feel of WW2 around them. York is a fantastic day out for all things urban, with York Minster and York Castle top of the agenda.

More great attractions in the area include:
