About Kettlewell Camping

The site is nestled along the outskirts of the charming village of Kettlewell, looking out across the sweeping Upper Wharfedale Valley. Guests can also enjoy direct access to the popular Dales Way walking route, with the charming village of Kettlewell and its amenities within a five minute stroll. The site is home to a total of 40 grass pitches, suitable for tents and small campervans (under 4.9m) only. Ten of the pitches also come with the added bonus of an electric hook up. If you're planning a Duke of Edinburgh trip or simply a group getaway, the site also has an exclusive use field available. The field allows up to 30 guests with six electric hook ups, a fire pit and a picnic area. It also has access to its own facilities block with two showers, two loos, washbasins, a fridge and a kitchen sink. For evenings onsite, there are fire pits for hire or guests can bring their own, just please ensure they are over 40cm above the grass. Raised BBQs are also welcome for a spot of al fresco cooking. Canine companions can join you for your stay too, with up to two pups welcome per pitch.

Facilities and amenities

The site's facilities include hot showers and toilets with underfloor heating, plus a disabled/family bathroom. There is a separate room for dishwashing and a fridge/freezer available, along with fire pit hire. A local laundry service is provided close by, open Monday to Friday and at weekends during the season.

Guests in the exclusive use field have their own private facilities including two showers, two loos, washbasins, a fridge and a kitchen sink.

Kettlewell Village is also within a five minute walk, home to Kettlewell Village Store, The King's Head, Farmhouse Ice Cream and more. Kettlewell Playground is also just a few minutes walk away.

The closest train station to the site is Settle a 45 minute drive away, there is also a bus stop a five minute walk away outside the Bluebell Hotel.


Being just metres from the well known Dales Way is enough to make most visitors fancy getting their boots on, but it's by no means the only pretty walk in the area. The Yorkshire Dales National Dales is packed with walking and cycling options to tempt you.

Kilnsey Park is also a ten minute drive away, perfect for outdoor activities. Enjoy everything from pony rides to wildlife spotting and fishing, with a range of lakes available.

Malham Cove (35 minutes) is also a popular local spot. The 260 foot vertical cliff is surrounded by glorious walking routes, and you may even recognise it as the camping spot from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
