Amazing

I didn't want to leave, very quiet and relaxed, a lovely weekend had by me and my partner and our dog.

Hidden gem!

Lovely wee site, very peaceful. Easy to find with Google Maps. The wigwam was well equipped and cosy, and just perfect for a few nights away. The only problem was rubbish phone signal but that's not the campsite's fault, just something to keep in mind if you need Google Maps to find your way around! Would definitely recommend and if I'm in the area again I will come back.

Lovely site with tidy and perfectly self-contained pods. Two adults, a teenager and a baby were very happy with the experience.

Beautiful place

The site is beautiful and well maintained. Everything was there for us when we arrive, easy check in. Would highly recommend for a holiday.

Amazing

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and it was lovely. Very quiet and peaceful, the facilities were great and the self check in was handy. The location was lovely too. My boyfriend proposed to me outside the Holly cabin and it will forever be a special place for us.

Fantastic short stay

Absolutely beautiful area with lots to do nearby. Stunning scenery and spotted lots of wildlife. Plenty space for my boys to run around and play. The wigwams are well kitted out and clean.

Beautiful site!

Me and partner stayed in a pod at Wigwam holidays and were really impressed with the site! It's surrounded by nature and is so peaceful. We spent the day in York by getting the bus in from Askham park & ride, before then checking in once we had finished sightseeing. The pod had our name on a chalk board outside and the keys were in the door ready for us to self check in straight away. The pods are spacious and have a bench on the decking, as well as individual fire pits with tree stump seating overlooking the lake. However, we wish we had remembered to take our camp chairs so we were more comfortable sitting round the fire at night. Great facilities were in the pod such as a fridge, TV, microwave, kettle and hob (although very temperamental). The location was great with surrounding walks, small villages, pubs a short drive away and in reasonable distance to York city. The highlight for us was how peaceful the site was with birds tweeting, ducks and geese on the lake, no road traffic noise and generally a really good place to relax and unwind. We would definitely recommended this place and we'll be back again!!

Beautiful peaceful break

First time here, which we booked at short notice with our small dog. This is a beautiful little site with pods located on each side of a large pond. The front doors all face the pond which gives you a wonderful view of some great wildlife both in the pond and off it. The pod itself was spotless and compact but more than adequate for the 2 nights we were staying. Love the way they have placed the firepit to the side of the pod with log stools covered by a hard rubber surrounding the firepit. Both nights we were there we had it lit, although on this occasion we didn't use the BBQ (maybe if we come back in warmer weather we will). It is in a great location and clearly signposted from the road you branch off from. We had an evening meal at the St Vincent Arms which is just a 7 minute drive away and was excellent. And if you feel energetic, the walk is just over 3 miles each way. All round the site there are plenty of countryside walks as well as a canal walk a short distance away. It's ideal for pets as the site owns 6 acres of woodland walk. Great, more than reasonably priced and highly recommended.

I can't wait to go back...it's beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing. Our pod was immaculate, beds were so comfy and everything was just lovely.

Far exceeded expectations

We were welcomed to a clean, warm and beautiful Wigwam. The space was well designed and as a family of four we had plenty of space to enjoy time indoors. The location was great but the site itself was nice and remote. The cherry on the cake for us was the camp fire we were able to make right outside of the cabin. You’ll be seeing us again and we’ve told our friends! Thank you so much!

Ball Hall Farm

The only thing we would of changed would be the shower, one minute freezing then the next boiling. That is the only thing we would change, everything else brilliant.

Perfect Oasis

If you are after tranquil peace then this is the place to go. The park is beautiful and set in the middle of the country side. Not too far from York if you wanted to travel in. Check in can be a little confusing as you need to drive round to find your name on the pod, but once you get it, it's a really nice touch. Remember to bring cash to get the logs for your fire pit, but you get so much it'll last a few nights. The pods are really lovely with everything you'd need. Pocklington isn't too far (although everything is closed on a Sunday), the nearest pub is also only 2.5 miles away, perfect in summer for a walk, but if it's dark you'd find it difficult to walk back so make sure your stacked up on beverages and if you want Sunday dinner all the local pubs stop serving at 4-4:30. It is truly a beautiful place, great location and would highly recommend - just added commentary helps you prepare for a wonderful stay!

Great cabins

Ball Hall Farm cabin was fantastic. All in a lovely setting around a small lake. Great woodland walk perfect for dog walking. The fire pit/bbq was an added bonus. Logs are available on site at a reasonable price. Cabin was ideal and very clean. Staff fab, very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the mattress wasn’t too comfy.
