A lovely quiet setting in a very clean, well equipped pod

We wanted a relaxing, clean and comfortable base so we could explore the area and that's what we got. The pods are very well equipped and paying a little extra for the bed bundle was worth it. My daughter and I found the pods were set out for maximum privacy and the view was beautiful. Would definitely recommend them and hope to return.

Lovely stay

Absolutely fantastic!

This place was absolutely fantastic. It was beautiful scenery, peace and quiet from the main gaggle of loud holiday goers with a quaint little wood that offers plenty of area to find all sorts of wildlife, from baby frogs, giant hares and even deer if you're lucky. Having a fire pit with plenty of wood pile extras was definitely a good shout and it was surprisingly easy to cook on. The cabin itself felt like it was brand new with how spotless everything was when we first stepped in. It was of perfect size for the both of us with enough room to cook, clean and keep tidy quite easily. Added bonus was meeting all the different dogs walking past your cabin at night. We will definitely be coming back again. I could imagine this place looking even more magical in the winter time.

Quiet and peaceful

The area is quiet and green. Nice and clean place, with a view of the duck pond and nature.

Tranquil getaway

Perfect place for nature lovers or wanting to escape from busy everyday life! Quiet, peaceful and private location. Our dog loved walking in the woods!

Lovely break

Had a lovely break away, the pod was spotless when we arrived. Peaceful and lovely atmosphere, there's lots to do within a short distance of the site, and if going into York centre for the day would recommend the Park & Ride only around 15 mins away. As others have said, flies are to be expected in this heat and close proximity to the water, but the owners have done everything they possibly can to help restrict them (fly screens, swatters, nets, spray, candles outside, hanging catchers). Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful peaceful site with excellent facilities

The site was very relaxing and peaceful, close to nature but with everything we needed in the pod close at hand. We had day trips to Scarborough, York and Allerthorpe Lake and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely getaway

Beautiful setting. Well looked after site and glamping pod. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and lots of helpful info in the booklet provided. Very small pod for 4, but only stayed 2 nights, so it was manageable.

Lovely short stay

Amazing weekend with friends. Location is beautiful and a short drive from small village of York. Beautiful views and walks, the pond is gorgeous. The pods were clean, warm and had plenty of space.

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely amazing. We stayed for 2 nights and we loved every minute of it. The pod was so clean and was stocked with all the essentials.

Great pods

Had an amazing stay in our pod opposite the lake. The owners have thought of everything. Having Wi-Fi and a smart TV is lovely in the evenings when it's cold outside. The beds are extremely comfortable, the pod is very warm with the heating and has a good, modern shower/bathroom. Huge fire pit with grill for BBQing. The owner also extremely accommodating as we were arriving late. We will definitely be back.

Glamping at Ball Hall Farm

Excellent site, stayed with grandchildren, 13,11 & 7. We had a great 3 nights, went to boating park and had lunch there, parked car and walked along the canal past the old residential barges, very interesting. Lit the fire pit and toasted marshmallows. Accommodation was very clean and shower room was very spacious. Nice and warm too. I would like to suggest a coin-operated washing machine on site. Would be a great addition.

Lovely stay

Amazing stay at Wigwam Holidays at Ball Hall Farm for my son and boyfriend's birthdays with our dog Sid. It was the best experience, so cosy, warm and clean. Really recommend this place as it was so peaceful

Peaceful and relaxing stay.

I went alone with my dog for 2 nights. The area has a beautiful woodland and a large grass area perfect for me and my dog to go on a nice, peaceful walk. The cabin was very cosy, warm and had all the essentials needed. Moreover, me and my dog Cotton had a great time together and were very comfortable and relaxed inside the cabin. We both had an amazing time together- away from all worries for a few days. If you want to get away for a few days and have a stress-free and relaxing time, I highly recommend staying here.

Excellent stay

Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings, we stayed for 2 nights with our toddler who loved the wildlife and surroundings. Well equipped pod with plates, cutlery, microwave, hob and fridge. Lovely and clean on arrival with washing up liquid and tea towel. Think it's probably worth mentioning that when it says no bedding there is no pillows or quilts, I was unsure of this based on other reviews whether it was just sheets and covers/pillow cases so luckily took pillows and quilts but thought I would add this to my review as when I've stayed in other pods that have stated no bedding; pillows and duvets have still been provided it was just sheets and covers that were needed. Not a negative at all just thought I would add to review to help others.

Lovely location and great accommodation

Very clean and has everything you need, has been really well looked after. Great location feels very secluded but still near to York and attractions. Would highly recommend to anyone, we took a toddler and he loved it.

Amazing from start to finish

Turned up, easy to find the park sign posted from the road side. Clean, beautifully kept for such a big place, was spotless in the cabin. The fire pit was amazing for a night time, really gave you a chance to relax and take in the scenery. Great places to walk with lots of wildlife right in front of you. Highly recommend this park to anyone. I will definitely be back! Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful spot for a short break

A beautiful spot for a short break - in easy driving distance to York and all the amenities, as well as in its own picturesque setting. The lake and wildlife are spectacular - with the morning ducks and baby frogs being a highlight. The pod itself is well maintained and has everything you could need. Well presented and comfortable, even with little ones in inclement weather. My only issue was the flies - as a seasoned glamper, I expect flies but this was another level. I would stay again but I'd definitely be prepared with fly spray!

Fabulous holiday!

We had an amazing 10 days here. The location was perfect, my two children could play and explore the natural environment, it was peaceful and we all loved being able to watch the wildlife on the pond. The owners were so helpful and accomodating, assisting us when we required it. The pod was well equiped and very clean and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to my friends and family. Thankyou for a fab holiday!

Marvellous place, very clean and tranquil

Easy check in and check out. Just what I was looking for. We enjoyed barbecuing during the night and listening to the birds during the day. Also enjoyed watching the dragonflies with different colours whilst sat on the deck. Overall experience was great. Highly recommended. Definitely go back.
