It's a lovely, picturesque location. Lovely view of the lake from the lodge. It is very quiet here, which is fantastic. The lodge itself is basic but has everything you need for a relaxing stay, with ensuite bathroom, small kitchen with dining table and chairs. The internet could be better.

We stayed for 2 nights to visit York maze with our Grandchildren. Highlight for our grandkids, was the woods where great fun was had building hides and camps. Ideal location for visiting York, beautiful surroundings very quiet and peaceful. Pod had everything required and was very clean. We will return.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay, the pods were not overlooked at all and it felt like you had your own private Lakeside view. We explored the beautiful woodland walk on site, which are dog George loved. We enjoyed cooking tea on the fire-pit/barbecue which is provided. We were lucky to hear the barn owl and my two boys age 10 and 13 loved watching the bats in the evenings. The pod was spacious and beautifully clean when we arrived. We had a really enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Our two-night stay at Wigwam Holiday Farm was unforgettable. Everything is unbelievable, I cannot describe the farm by words! Despite no one being there to greet us, everything was perfectly arranged, making us feel right at home. Our cozy cabin overlooked a stunning pond, offering a peaceful connection with nature. We loved exploring the trails and meeting the friendly farm animals, which delighted our children. Evenings by the fire pit, under a starry sky were magical. The farm's eco-friendly practices added to its charm. Whether you're seeking a quiet escape or a family adventure, Wigwam is a hidden gem. We left with cherished memories and can't wait to return!

Beautiful view over the lake, everything was exactly like the photos. I needed an extra mattress for my baby's cot and they responded super quick and sorted it for me straight away. Lovely location and felt very private like a little oasis.

Totally loved this place. Pods are fab, well maintained, clean and have everything you need. Lovely setting overlooking the lake and felt very private. Close by to lots of attractions and pretty towns. Great value for money. Will return.

The pods are around a lake. The setting is really beautiful and each pod is equipped with fly meshes over the windows and doors, so you don't need to worry about flies or midges getting into your cabin. Really great facilities in each pod - hob, hot water, toilet, shower. The kids loved the pull out bed and could watch morning telly in bed. Great location near York maze and other attractions and we could have a fire and toast marshmallows which the kids love.

What a wonderful surprise! The pod was well equipped with everything that was needed. It was so lovely to just sit by the lake and chill. We took our own camping chairs. The pod was spotless and really warm. We walked to a nearby cafe for breakfast which is worth doing. We went just to chill and relax and that's exactly what we did. We purchased a fire pit bundle which is so worth the £12 that is charge. We would definitely recommend staying in this idyllic location. Hassle free arrival check in and out. Just perfect! X

Beautiful site. Pods are situated around a peaceful lake with plenty of wildlife. Very clean and had everything we needed. Clear instructions were given before arrival. Fire pit & bbq was great. The shed on site had wood bundles for sale with an honesty box located inside so cash is needed. 25 minute drive to York. Would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely little hidden gem this place is, we enjoyed a lovely relaxing 2 night stay here for my wife's birthday. The pod was exceptionally clean and just the right size for my wife and I and our cocker spaniel, we will definitely be returning.

Stayed here for 3 nights. What a beautiful and peaceful place, if you want to get away for relaxation and off the beaten track, I would recommend this place. The pod we stayed in was perfect, comfortable, immaculately clean and had everything you need for a break away from home. It is great for exploring the area and York. We will return.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Ball Hall Farm as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 3). We were in the Willow Pod; it was clean, cosy, compact and had everything we needed. We loved the stunning surroundings - looking out to the lake from out pod decking we could see ducks and birds and the lake itself was very calm and serene. The kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the fire pit by our pod and we had an amazing view of the stars at night - we were fortunate to have clear skies. We came on a quiet weekend in October so our neighbouring pods were unoccupied however even if the other pods had been occupied they are nicely spaced out and private so there would have been no worries there. We had a lovely walk in the on-site woodland and had fun venturing out to the local area - we enjoyed the Yorkshire Air Museum and walks in Allerthorpe and along the canal in Melbourne. We had a delicious meal in the St Vincent Arms and found the staff very welcoming. This was our first ‘go’ at glamping and our wonderful experience at Ball Hall Farm has really whet our appetite!

If you just want to escape from all the noise and catch your breath for a couple of days, this is the place for you! It's a self-check-in place, with no human contact at all! Aghhh an introvert's dream! It really is! And Wi-Fi works really well if you need it. But just bring a good book and the food that you need and you're all set! Cannot say enough good things about this place.

This was our first family experience in a glamping pod so we were a little apprehensive, but it was a really good stay. The site was so tranquil and pleasant. The pod was immaculately clean and had everything you would need. The only thing we would have liked was more comfortable outside seating as a wooden picnic table isn't comfortable to relax on. All it would need for it to be perfect was to add a couple of sun chairs on the porch to admire the view 😄
