Family and dog friendly camping and touring site, Pomeroy Caravan Park is in the ideal place for those who love to hike or cycle. There are non electric and electric grass pitches for tents, as well as fully serviced grass and hardstanding pitches for tourers. A peaceful stay in the Peak District on a working dairy farm with cows and goats, the site even produces its own artisan ice cream with a range of flavours for the whole family.

Small personal working farm with giant rabbits, goats and pigs. Nice ice cream and milk available 24/7. My favourite campsite at a fair price.

We absolutely loved this campsite. We chose this one as we were taking our dog camping with us and this had a field that we could let him off in. The facilities were great - exceptionally clean toilet and shower facilities, and the shower space was big compared to other campsites I've been to. The owners were really friendly and we had some of the homemade ice-cream there which was so yummy! The campsite leads straight onto the Tissington trail so we made good use of the walks in the area and there's some nice pubs nearby too. Definitely plan to return.

Best site we've stayed on. Friendly people, plenty of space and super clean. Lots of walkable pubs, all with great food. We couldn't of wished for a nicer site and will definitely come back; the homemade ice creams are out of this world!

We had a lovely weekend at Pomeroy Caravan Park. The site arrival facility was organized and easy to find. The place is family friendly, the pitches were generous. We have visited the local area and enjoyed the whole visit. The toilet facilities & showers were good and clean. I would recommend the campsite.

This is a great site. Staff are very friendly. Little shop that sells minimal camping items but also hot and cold drinks. Also sells several different flavours of yummy ice cream. Toilets and showers are very clean. The cleaner cleans them between 11am and 1pm but there is always 2 toilets to use while they are being cleaned. There are 8 goats, 4 large rabbits and 2 miniature pigs, which you can buy food for 50p to feed them (not the rabbits). Be aware, you can't get phone signal here though. If you go up to the goats, it's intermittent signal. 100% recommend.

Everything went very smoothly, great location if you have a car to visit neighbouring towns. We stayed here to hike and found a few good routes surrounding the site.

Wonderful place to stay. Plenty of space, clean amenities, fabulous washrooms, lovely friendly staff, bonus that there was fresh milk, milkshakes, ice cream, eggs and a little shop with all sorts in. Highly recommend, we'd definitely stay again.

Great place! Loved our stay. Didn’t like the huge influx of flying beetles in the bathroom. Also, a tumble dryer would’ve been very handy.
Lovely, clean, accommodating

First time camping and we had a great time. The location of Pomeroy is great for The Roaches and Chee Dale steps walk. Clean and tidy and lovely ice cream and fresh milk you can make into flavoured milkshake!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with respect and the staff were incredibly polite. They provided us with a printout of a map with directions to the nearest shops and public footpaths, then told us all the information about the site (where the facilities were etc). There isn't much signal there which is normal for the area and we loved being disconnected from our phones for the duration of our stay. However, there is Wi-Fi which works at various parts of the site which we used to check in with family and load up the satnav routes on our adventures! The small shop has all the basic essentials including spare pegs (which we thought we had forgotten when we first arrived) and tent maintenance tools. It also serves ice cream made from the cows milk on the farm and there is a vending machine type thing where you can get fresh milk daily from the cows, you can purchase containers at the shop and even make milkshakes from it! It is both family friendly and has the isolation for adults can enjoy their time without the disturbance of children. The views upon opening your tent on a morning are without fault, we spent hours admiring the view and watching the cows in a distant field! With the site being just a 10 minute drive from the centre of Buxton it is perfect for the isolation while maintaining the security of having a town nearby for any necessities and there is a hospital with an urgent care in the town too for any accidents that could occur. I would stay at this site any time that is possible in the future. The location and facilities are far superior to any I have used in past and the staff made the stay even more comfortable and pleasant.

Quiet site, well kept pitches, there is noise from the quarry but not too much. The small shop on site is not really big enough and there were a few things that we required but they had run out of. Closest shop is a 15 minute drive away. The two pubs we visited for evening meal were very good, excellent food and service Overall, a nice 5 nights away.

Only stayed for one night but a great stay, clean park and close to nice walking and biking routes. Just wished the ice cream place stayed open later.

Absolutely beautiful campsite. Extremely clean facilities, hot water, places to wash clothes. Track leads direct from campsite to Tissington trail, so take your bikes. Lovely feeding the goats and the kid goats were very cute. On-site shop stocks all your camping needs and the farm burgers were very good quality and tasted great. The milk was lovely too. Big field available just for games, so we got a game of cricket and football in. All in all, no complaints and would go back.
Another great site

Never stayed at this site before but would recommend it to others after our stay. Stayed in a tent with electric and had no issues during our time here. Facilities were well maintained and again no problem during our stay. Small shop on site which has essentials if needed. Must try the ice cream on offer along with drinks as they were tasty and well priced. WiFi is strong within the main but if you stay on the outer fields like us it's weak/ no coverage. This did not impact our experience. Will be using this site again for future holidays.

Was a lovely night's stay on the working farm. The staff were friendly and helpful, checking in was smooth and there was a small shop of homemade ice cream (I'd recommend the salted caramel). You could purchase eggs from the farm, as well as make your own milkshake. Would recommend.

Lovely site managed by a really helpful lady. Really good toilet facilities, great enclosed dog exercise field and separate games field so children can play without disturbing people too much. Small SJP/ice cream parlour on site with good range of essentials. Good location. Only downside was it's v close to A515 which is a v fast road and can be noisy. That said, it didn't spoil my stay and I'd definitely recommend it.
