Family and dog friendly camping and touring site, Pomeroy Caravan Park is in the ideal place for those who love to hike or cycle. There are non electric and electric grass pitches for tents, as well as fully serviced grass and hardstanding pitches for tourers. A peaceful stay in the Peak District on a working dairy farm with cows and goats, the site even produces its own artisan ice cream with a range of flavours for the whole family.

Had a fabulous 3 night stay here. Lady that greeted us was so friendly and informative. Nice walks from the park and central for Buxton and Bakewell. Would definitely recommend.

Lovey 2 night stay at the campsite/ caravan park. We went with 3 families with kids and a dog. Campsite was clean, toilets were amazing and there was a bath. The shop sold lovely ice cream, which the kids loved, and there was an animal petting area where you could buy some feed for a quid. The only thing I would say is that the site was missing was a kids park. There's a playing field where you can play football, rounders etc but a park would top it off.

One of the best campsites I've been to. Small but well served with both hard and green pitches, with water and electric point. The sanitary block is very good and so in the "pot cleaning" block. You can buy the most amazing fresh milk and ice cream. The lady welcoming you is very friendly and helpful. To top it up, it is right next to the High Peak Trail.
A good quality, friendly site

An excellent site between the towns of Buxton and Bakewell. It is located just off a busy road, with frequent large lorries from the quarries passing by. However the drive in is sufficiently long to not effect the site itself. Some aircraft sound from planes approaching airport. The shower block is superb. Some of the best we have come across. Modern with very warm underfloor heating. Lots of space in the shower and toilet cubicles. Plenty of hot water, although the push button needed to last longer than 5 seconds. Well kept throughout, including the dog exercise field. Well kept enclosures with small farm animals. Popular with families. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reception and shop with excellent homemade ice cream open until 6.30pm each day. Easy access onto the High Peak Trail.

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the Peak District and its surrounding areas are beautiful. The location is very close to the town of Buxton and the Peaks. The site is basic yet has everything you need, the shower block was super warm and amazingly clean!

Stayed for 5 nights with two young children and it was a great campsite. All the facilities you could need and the local ice cream and milk were delicious and a big hit with the kids.

Stayed on an electric pitch in the tent field. Beautiful views and right by the trail. We will definitely return especially as the site is 30 minutes from home.

Loved it here. Extremely relaxing. friendly staff. Great ice cream. Good facilities. beautiful countryside. we were on our own but the children on site were having a whale of a time and were extremely well behaved, a pleasure to hear them laughing and playing. The animal petti g area and fresh milk were a bonus and the oral pub was great, especially the food.

This was our first time at this campsite and it’s absolutely stunning, we will definitely be returning and recommending it. The staff are all very friendly and all the facilities are spotless. The fresh milk from the vending machine and the ice creams are an absolute must and the farm animals are very cute

This is a great campsite, one of the best I've stayed at! The toilet block is fantastic and always clean. The washing block has hot water all the time. The ice cream made on the farm is great, with friendly staff and a shop that is not overpriced. It is close to Buxton, a great little museum at the old lead mine and across the road from a pub. Lots of walks straight off the campsite. Even got goats to pet! Loved it!

Lovely site with good facilities. Very clean. Nice friendly staff in the on site shop. The milk is a must! It's a good base to access the Peak District trail too.

A wonderful stay - with the petting farm and giant rabbits a fabulous extra! My only regret is that we didn't leave time to sample the ice cream - going to have to come back again.

Excellent site, lovely situation and really friendly. Clean facilities with enough of everything. They have a lovely little shop selling essentials. Unfortunately we didn’t try the ice creams, but they looked delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We LOVED our stay at Pomeroy. The plots are big enough to give privacy, but close enough to chat with other campers if you wish to. Ice-creams are DELICIOUS!! The facilities are clean and spacious. Pot wash area is great with lots of room. Dog field was a life saver for us as our 2 year old spaniel has an unlimited amount of energy so needs a good run around! Great location for the trail which we really enjoyed. Quiet, peaceful location. The only thing I would say this site is missing is a dog wash area, but other than that perfect site and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Spent 1 night here mid October, would recommend, lovely campsite. Toilet and shower facilities clean and tidy, backs on to the walking trail and local pub is within 10 mins walk, with another two within easy walking distance. Didn’t need an alarm as Duke of Edinburgh group were up nice and early.

Lovely site, nicely laid out. Has onsite shop and milk vending machine that has milk from their own cows available 24hrs. Great places to walk, 2 lovely pubs a short walk away (2 miles). My only criticism is the showers. Plenty of very hot water, but they switch off every 30 seconds. Would definitely stay again.
