About Kendal Rugby Club
Whether you are a rugby lover or not, this riverside site is the perfect location for an adventurous family getaway. Situated 20 minutes from Lake Windemere in the Lake District National Park, there are plenty of opportunities for wildlife spotting or exploring the surrounding landscapes. The spacious green site provides 20 grass pitches, each welcoming tents and trailer tents and allowing up to four people per pitch. The maximum pitch size is 5m x 5m. This site is a great centre to explore the local surroundings, Kendal town centre is just a short 20 minute walk and is the southern gateway to the Lake District, offering plenty of walks and cycle routes. This community club dates back to the 19th century. BBQs are allowed. Sorry, dogs are not allowed at this site.

Just 20 minutes from the site is Lake Windemere in the Lake District National Park. Here you can get involved in kayaking, windsurfing, spot some local wildlife or explore the lake's glorious surroundings.
There is plenty to do in Kendal town centre just a 20 minute walk from the site. Throw yourself into the rich history of the town and visit the Quaker Tapestry Museum, The Kendal Museum or Kendal Castle.
If you want to be more active, you can try climbing at the KendalWall and Lakeland Climbing Centres, just a ten minute walk from the site.
If this isn't enough that you can venture east to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, just 30 minutes from the site.
