Things to do on site and in the Driffield area
Lots of different walking routes will take you across the beauty of the area, but the most famous are the Yorkshire Wolds Way, for which you are ideally located, and walks on the atmospheric North Yorkshire Moors.
Or, try a proper old fashioned seaside holiday and sun yourself with an ice cream in Scarborough or Bridlington - the coast is tantalisingly close.
Hull is a favourite with guests thanks to its museums, visitor attractions like The Deep and endless amounts of shopping.
Sledmere and Birdsall both have estates with stately homes that are open to the public. There is a selection of leaflets in the cafe of things to do in the area as well.
Other attractions in the area include:
- Warram Percy - deserted medieval village
- Robert Fuller Gallery in Thixendale
- Fimber Halt - recreation of the old railway line that once ran through the Wolds
- Fridaythorpe's church - open seven days a week
- Market towns of Driffield and Pocklington
