About The Hideaway at Baxby Manor
This is a special, peaceful and restful place, the kind of retreat from the stresses of daily life that is hard to find. It's ideal for keen walkers and cyclists, and close to Yorkshire's attractions, situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Your setting is the woodland attached to a spectacular medieval manor - one that dates back to The Doomsday Book. This historic building is by the edge of Husthwaite village, a few miles from the market towns of Thirsk and Easingwold. This is the place for camping, campfires, and escaping to the countryside. Pitches are sheltered, level and spacious and many include 10 amp electric hook up for tents. There are areas reserved for adults and also areas where the whole family can stay - the best of both worlds, amongst a total of 37 grass pitches each allowing up to six people. The Hideaway has a strong environmental ethos that it maintains in all that it does. The site plays host to stunning wildlife and tranquil areas of unspoilt nature - it's a beautiful, natural environment. Glampers have a wide range of quirky and tempting options here, including dog free and dog friendly options. Dogs can stay in selected Hoglet Houses, which include real beds and hassle free shelter for those who want to enjoy some home comforts in the wild. If you love the magic of the countryside, you'll adore these pods. These include a round door and inside real beds along with quirky furniture and a cosy stove. The luxurious treehouse is beautifully secluded with views over the neighbouring moors. It sleeps six and is set among ancient trees, with fabulous features such as a hot tub and a secret slide to a hidden den... This is the perfect place to immerse in nature which is why there is a quiet policy after 10pm and it's asked music is only played through headphones. Sorry, dogs cannot stay in the treehouse.
Camping and glamping units are available between April until October, the treehouse is open all year.
