Old York Forest Campsite is a family friendly tent and touring site set on the edge of mature woodland and just 15 minutes from York. Choose from a selection of level grass and hardstanding pitches with optional electric hook-ups and easy access to onsite facilities. There's plenty of space for outdoor games, and dogs are welcome too with a dedicated dog walking area. Fishing onsite.
About Old York Forest Campsite
Belonging to a fourth generation farming family who farm nearby, the site was setup to share the team's love of walking through farmland and lakeside trails. Couples and families can enjoy this dog friendly space with open views and excellent dog walks in the surrounding area. You'll find more than 20 acres of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust woodland sits to the right of site, so you're sure to find your happy place here. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome on the level and well maintained grass and hardstanding pitches here. Optional electric hook-ups available. Seasonal pitches also available.

Terms and Conditions of Booking
PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING
We agree to:
Our agreement binds yourself, (person named on the booking form) & all members of your group (including children and any visitors) Please ensure that all members of your party are aware of & accept all of this agreement.
The agreement starts from the day the booking is made and continues until the last member has left the park (also includes any extensions of time to your booking).
Old York Forest have the right to refuse to accept any booking & obtain the name, age, address and gender of the members of your party before confirming your booking. You must provide us with full details of your group. This must include yourself, prior to arrival. Please note: Any email address submitted on booking may be used for promotional purposes in the future, including the use of third-party websites.
We have the right to cancel your booking, or to inform youself or your party to leave the Park immediately. This may be without compensation or refund (should you or any of your party not comply with this agreement) This refers to particularly where behaviour and conduct have not been complied with, or where you or any member of your group has been asked to on a previous occasion or if we consider the stay NOT A HOLIDAY
Change is booking: amendments to booking may incur an admin charge of £20.00.
Confirmed bookings cannot be altered on the day of arrival. Please notify us if you are going to arrive later than 6pm or at a later date. No refunds will apply. Management will not be held responsible for any change in circumstances.
Age Limits
You must be over 21 to book a pitch with us and there must be at least one capable and responsible adult over 21 on each touring caravan pitch (or in each unit of accommodation) You may not have the majority of persons on any booking aged between 17 & 21.
You may be asked to leave if more than the number of people stated on the booking form occupy the pitch / accommodation. The members of your group & allocation of guests in each accommodation/pitch must remain as booked.
Bookings are accepted for families and couples only. We DO NOT accept same or majority gender parties.
Stag/ hen parties not permitted. We reserve the right to ask such parties to leave without refund.
Only ONE car may be parked at each pitch/accommodation (exceptions apply). Extra vehicles/day visitors - Please park in car park
Work / Transit vans /Commercial vehicles must be parked in the car park, and are by arrangement only. Motorised scooters may not be used on site unless road legal and covered by a valid certificate of insurance.
In the event of any accommodation booked not being available, for any reason whatsoever, the liability of the proprietors shall in no circumstances exceed a refund of any amount already received by them.
We recommend that all customers take out their own travel insurance.
Safe Environment for all
We want to maintain a safe, secure environment for all. We don't knowingly allow anyone to use or visit our Parks who is subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Please note whilst staying on the Park the following applies:
Full facilities may not be available early and late season - please telephone for further details.
Fishing lakes are for ameatures only - Please do not book if you are looking for a "fishing holiday"
All young children must be accompanied to all facilities. It is impractical for them to use the facilities by themselves.
Motorised recreational vehicles cannot be used on the Park (includes scooters, bikes, children's ride-ons).
Please note we use CCTV cameras on the premises
Your Behaviour:
We have a strict "No noise after 10pm" Policy
Throughour your stay , your behaviour should NOT be excessive, noisy or disruptive, especially at night.
Offensive or illegal behaviour will not be tolerated. We may ask you or any member of your group to leave immediately if your conduct is considered to be inappropriate, cause harm, or prevent enjoyment, comfort or safety of others or to breach any of our agreement with you. No refunds / compensation will be given in these circumstances.
You are responsible for the supervision of your group under 21. You must supervise children &bavbies at all times. Children under 8 must be accompanied at all times on the site by an adult.
Solar Lights, Fireworks, Pyrotechnics, Sky Lanterns prohibited on the park. Use any shotgun, knife, firearm, archery equipment, illegal substances or similar is prohibited
Customers may bring a BBQ to use at their pitch. If you are using a disposable BBQ it must be lifted off the ground. Customers must not, under any circumstances, light fires or use fire bowls at pitches or grass
Flying of drones / powered aircraft is not permitted on the Park, unless express permission has been given.
We periodically take photographs for marketing. If you do not wish to appear in any such material please inform us at the time.
Parents of children with bikes/scooters must ensure they are ridden in a safe and responsible manner, supervised by an adult. Bicycles only to be ridden during the hours of daylight. Play areas also to be used only during daylight hours.
All accidents during your stay must be reported to management
Touring Pitches
When you book , you will be asked which pitch you would like. Please book the appropriate pitch and make a note of it.
You will be send the gate code prior to arrival - Due to social distancing , we operate a "Self Check-In" Service
On Arrival, let yourself in and close the gate behind yourself. Use the map (on website) to locate the pitch that you booked
Pitch the caravan so that the tow bar faces the road
Please visit the kitchen area of the site to look through welcome information and details.
You are expected to ensure the area around your pitch is kept clean and tidy.
Pitches are available from and to be vacated by 12 noon
Waste disposal points are provided for normal household waste and recycling. All chemical waste from caravan toilets must be disposed of in the chemical waste disposal point provided. All grey waste must be disposed of into marked drainage points only, and must not be discharged into the ground.
Strictly no pup tents or gazebos. We do not accept group bookings. Maximum persons per pitch = 6. Please have the size of your tent available when booking. All confirmed bookings are for the size
stated only.
Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. Dogs must be exercised either off the Park or on the designated dog exercise area. All dog waste to be picked up & disposed of in the bins. Dogs must not be left unattended. Dogs are not allowed in any buildings / patio / playground (except guide dogs).
2 dog only at any period (subject to prior arrangement, touring park only).
Self-Catering Accommodation
All our accommodation is inclusive of electricity, gas and water, and fully equipped with TV, microwave, full sized cooker, fridge/freezer and fully fitted bathroom. All accommodation is strictly non-smoking.
A non-refundable deposit of £100 per unit per week/part week is required at the time of booking, the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings cancelled after this time will not be refunded unless the unit can be re-let and is at the discretion of the park. No reminder will be sent for balance payment.

Things to do on site and in the Barmby Moor area
The site is multifunctional, with two acres of open greenery providing space for games and picnics. Dogs also have their own dedicated walking area.
It's picturesque here too, with three lakes nearby. Two to walk around and one with a few fish for the keen anglers. One of the lakes has a small amount of Roach and Perch, ideal for trying your hand at fishing. The other two shallow lakes are perfect for enjoying a picnic whilst watching the moor-hens, ducks, geese or deer who often call for a drink early in the morning!
Woodland walks are perfect if you are looking to reconnect with nature, climb a tree, or simply find some peace and tranquility in the surrounding 22 acres of woodland.
