After our event we had planned to attend was cancelled, we stumbled across this place, who had late availability so just booked for the night. Great little place, plenty of room for camping (grounds not very even but no drama). Very quiet through the night, even though camping was busy. Pub was great, my youngest loved the play equipment. The food was lovely, everyone was super friendly and you felt like you just fitted in. I read they do music events so will be booking to come back in August to experience one of those. Would recommend.

Great pub, very friendly staff, excellent food. Shame about the toilet facilities, although we realise the update delay is due to planning delays, alternatives should be put in place.

I stayed as part of a group. The campsite lacked any meaningful abolition facilities. One wet room/toilet. The tiles had fallen off the wall in the shower area, plus one other separate toilet, of which both were not clean. No pot wash facilities. Hence, I have to give the low scores.

Lovely pub, very friendly people and locals. The ground is very uneven and on a slope but once overt that, it's good. Could perhaps do with more hook ups and I think £5 for a dog is a little steep, but then I don't have clear up the dog mess that some pet owners don't. On the whole, it's a great little place. Food great, beers great, atmosphere great, walks great. I do recommend you try a night or two.

What a shame that the local planning authority has taken too long to approve planning applications, so the washroom facilities could have been improved before the beginning of the tourist season.

Convenient stopover on our way to New Forest. disappointed pub didn't do meal the 1st night, but our return stay meals were being served. Meal was gorgeous. Fairly flat pitch with electric. The site was quite busy on our 2nd visit (on our way home) so needed to queue for 1 shower and 2 toilets. Maybe needs a couple of more toilets. Looks like a work in progress. Would definitely stay over again.

Very friendly and helpful staff, facilities (showers/toilet) could be improved, but apart from that we had an enjoyable stay.

Large grass site. On a slope so pitch widely. Good location for Chipping Norton and surrounds. Bonus being at a pub. The only let down is the state of the single shower and the single campsite toilet. Both need some TLC and a good clean. Wouldn't take much to make them presentable.
Nice little campsite

This was a stopover visit for me (and the dog) on my way to Dorset for a week. Nice little campsite on an uneven and sloping (but well trimmed) field. You choose your own pitch and I'd recommend you don't arrive too early and end up choosing a pitch that wasn't the best only to find that come check out time, a lot of better pitches become available (as I did). Aim to pitch at the bottom left hand corner of the field that's away from the yard and gets the morning sun (to dry your tent out). This is a very clean site with lots of bins which were emptied both days that was there. Very tidy and a safe place for kids to run and run. There was also a play area for kids which looked great. Picnic tables. Outside the pub for a nice pint and watching the sun go down. The toilets were quite small (one unisex one outside available permanently, others available when the pub opens). The pub is very friendly and very helpful (all staff). I had a takeaway Sunday lunch (as I had a dog with me) - I don't know what they did with the gravy, but it was absolutely delicious! The only downside is the yard next door - they start work around 5:30 - 6:00 am, (I think) so lots of forklifts, banging, clattering and "Good Morning's". I'm always up early anyway so didn't bother me that much. It's a real pity really as the site was very peaceful up until then. I also walked into the next village - about a mile. Very pretty and well worth the walk. I would recommend this site for a short stay.
Nice but needs some TLC

Nice for a cheap break, but facilities were a bit run down and could do with a good clean. Good food in the pub onsite and only a short walk into Hook Norton.

Lovely pub and great little campsite but too many negatives for us. Only two toilets and one shower and both not terribly clean. No washing up facilities for campers. If the new owners can improve the facilities it will be a great little site. There was a classic car show on Saturday and the facilities were completely inadequate for the number of people there. The pub is lovely - we did not eat there but camping neighbours said it was really good. Gorgeous garden with outside bar. Very noisy skip hire company adjacent to site. Also, we were at the top end of the site and there is a lot of road noise from the busy crossroads. Walk into Hook Norton is lovely. We found a footpath not too far away and did not see one other walker on route.
Great place, lack of facilities

Grate location good pub, with great staff. Campsite is on a slope so tent pitching is limited. The draw back is only one toilet and one shower. When we went, it was a busy weekend so the demand was high for the shower.
Will not be going back!

The sight is perfectly placed to visit all the local points of interest. The pub onsite serves good food. Pricey, but on par with the local area. The electric hook-up pitches are not well placed, being at the top of a very sloped field. It was virtually impossible to level caravan properly. Added to that, they are also right next door to an extremely loud Skip and Plant Hire company which starts making excessive noise at 6AM. We were woken every single morning with clouds of dust and clanking lorries and equipment. Only that site is next door to an industrial estate. We found the toilets and shower facilities basic and not overly clean. Not enough for the amount of campers they allow on site. There is little to no organisation to direct you to your pitch and explain site facilities. Unfortunately, this site is not for us. Probably more suitable for weekend or short stays. Certainly not for your main holiday of the year. We have come home feeling disappointed.

Nice surrounding areas but really did feel like we were just parking on the pub's grass. Two toilets available and one with shower. The shower is scalding hot and if you have children you might want to consider them using it. They didn't seem maintained whilst we were there. Pint glasses, salt and pepper left out on the picnic tables all night. Looks like they are doing something with the grounds but not clear what. There was a band on the Saturday who were amazing, had a great time. Staff were nice enough. Wouldn't stay again but it wasn't the worst.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Due to bad weather, I opted to eat in the pub. A local lady recommend "Dirty Fries", so ordered them with a pot of tea. Food fantastic, although I paid for a pitch, they let me stay in the large gravel carpark. Although, they can pull cars and vans for free. Slept well and would highly recommend.

Lovely location, great food at pub and nice welcome. Dog friendly and reasonable priced meals. Had a lovely overnight stay. The only negative was we were woken up at 6am by industrial traffic next door. Not what you want on a relaxing morning.

Nice site, event weekend that I wasn't aware of when booking Nice, cheap campsite, perfect for a 1 night stay for hikers. Unfortunately, there was a car show on this weekend that I wasn't aware of when booking, nothing was mentioned to us before arrival. This made the site very busy with non campers, and meant that all campers were positioned around the edges of the site to allow room for the classic cars in the middle. One outside loo and shower, so a little queue first thing but wasn't too bothered by that. Shower had amenities inside for anyone that forgets or runs out while visiting. Outside pub was friendly. Overall a pleasant stay and atmosphere. Would stay again, hopefully at a less busy point.
