About Middlewood Farm Holiday Park
Just a ten minute walk from the beach, this family friendly site is in a prime location for exploring the coast of the North York Moors. There is even a play park to keep little ones busy, with a handy pub and shop within a five minute walk too. Tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome, with a wide range of pitches to choose from. There is a family field, ideal for those with little ones, or the main field for those seeking a little more peace and quiet. Pitches range from 6m x 6m to the extra large pitches that allow units up to 8m and a maximum of 12 guests. Some also come with electric hooks ups and room to put up your awning. If you want to leave the tent pegs behind, opt for a stay in a cosy camping pod. Sleeping up to five, the pods include convertible bench seating with mattresses. Just be sure to bring along your own bedding! Other features include double-glazed, lockable doors, roller blinds, lighting, electric sockets, and an electric heater. A microwave, kettle, and fridge are included for easy meal prep. Outside is a covered porch, storage box, and picnic table, with shared campsite facilities just a short walk away. Everyone can bring along their four-legged friends too, with up to two dogs permitted per pitch or pod. If you want to cook up a tasty dinner, raised charcoal BBQs are allowed, just no open fires.
Camping is available from 28th March until November, motorhomes are welcome in January, while caravans and campervans are accepted from February. Pods are available all year round.
Facilities include toilets and hot showers (heated in early and late season), a bath, private wash cubicles, a disabled bathroom and a baby changing room. There is also a washing up area, hair dryers, electric shaver points and a well equipped laundry room. WiFi is available for a small fee., with a play park for little ones too.
The beach is just a ten minute walk away and the local pub, pizzeria and Thorpe Stores are just a five minute walk from your base.

It was my first time in a campervan, reception were so helpful in explaining everything. The facilities were great and had everything you'd need. Only downside was my camper gas ran out and the site didn't have any refills available, but other than that all was fine. 5*.

Things to do on site and in the Whitby area
Just a ten minute walk away, Robin Hood's Bay is a charming coastal village with cobbled streets, quirky shops, and incredible sea views. You can wander through its narrow lanes, discover fascinating history, and enjoy the fresh sea air by the beach.
A 15 minute drive takes you to Whitby Abbey, an iconic landmark with dramatic ruins perched high above the town. This ancient abbey is packed with history and offers amazing views of the coastline. It's also famously linked to Bram Stoker's Dracula!
For a more leisurely adventure, head to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, just 20 minutes away. Climb aboard a traditional steam train and enjoy a ride through the stunning countryside of the North York Moors. It's a lovely way to soak in the area in style.
