About Hopgarden Glamping

This site sits near the Kent/Sussex border, offering easy access to great countryside and a short travel time (under an hour) from the capital - so why not book a weekend away from the city? Glamping enjoys the seclusion of a beautiful woodland glade and is nestled in 15 acres of attractive, tranquil grounds. And as the name suggests, this spot was once involved in growing hops for top beer brands. Today, you're more likely to find wildlife than brewing here - with shy deer often spotted, buzzards swooping overhead, partridges, nocturnal badgers, foxes, rabbits and more. Inside the cosy shepherd's huts you have all you need for a glam stay, with handy facilities just a short way from your cosy base. Each hut is nice and warm all year round with a comfortable bed, facilities for making your tea and coffee plus entertainment essentials for a night in - a DAB Bluetooth radio and a Smart TV/DVD with internet connection for Sky TV, YouTube and all the popular shows on Netflix. A little further down the field are the bell tents, each with its own fire pit BBQ, mugs, tea, coffee etc, perfect for making a cup of something hot or even bringing some food with you and rustling up a meal. Inside each bell tent there are single and double beds with bedding and throws provided. You'll have access to electric too for charging your gadgets and your own private portable toilet behind each tent. Exclusive hire of the site welcome.

Camping is available from the 5th April until the 7th October. Bell tents are available from the 22nd April until the 30th September. Shepherds huts are available all year round.

Facilities and amenities

The site offers a shared kitchen hut (with fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, hotplate, sink, utensils and a seating area) and bathroom hut around 20 metres away from the glamping with well kept showers and toilets. Each bell tent has its own private loo too. Free WiFi is also provided.

Golf and horse riding can be found in the area.

A note from the site themselves...

We decided to set up our site as we were very keen to share the beauty of our location with guests. In its previous life, the land was once used for growing the hops for many local and national beer companies, so that is where we got the name from.

We are also a great spot for wildlife watching with an abundance on our doorstep. You may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of deer, foxes, rabbits, pheasants, badgers, squirrels, and partridges to name just a few. Myself and the team hope you have the chance to visit our little slice of paradise soon, Kellie
