About Woodside Country Park

If you want your children to get away from technology and enjoy the countryside, then come to Woodside Country Park, where the children can enjoy the great outdoors again! This is an award winning conservation site (David Bellamy Gold Award winners for over 10 years) with lots of greenery for everyone to enjoy. This family run park is ideal for family get togethers, or friendly reunions, with a range of accommodation types to suit most people - touring, camping or caravanning, and cosy pods. Access is excellent as it's only 8 miles to junction 2 of the M50, which leads to the motorway network. Just two miles away is the thriving market town of Ledbury, with all the amenities you could need. Pitches for caravans, tents and motorhomes are offered on the Cider Mill Field, a spacious four acre, level and open field with options to include electric and non-electric spaces. For those who want to travel hassle free and leave the tent at home, there are two different sizes of camping pod, each toasty warm with heating, lighting and all the power you need but without beds or other furniture. Scandinavian log cabin lodges with private hot tubs and a bunkhouse complete the package.

Woodside Country Park is open all year round.

Twin Axle Caravan - Cider Mill Field Electric PitchesOct 2024

The site is really peaceful and in a beautiful location. Facilities are very basic but functional. Be careful in the winter months when wet as there are no hard standing pitches, making it fairly muddy. But, prepare well and the site is really nice.

Motorhome - Cider Mill Field Electric PitchesAug 2024

We stayed at the last weekend of the school summer holidays. The Cider Mill field was jam packed with tents, so we parked on the sloping field by the Reception. The site was very noisy - lots of children screaming and shouting all day long. The quiet fishing pond unfortunately was taken over by two families with a boom box. The facilities were clean but there was only one shower in the ladies toilet block and it didn't have any water. There was one other shower in the mixed gender toilet block, which didn't feel quite right to me. The toilets and showers are cleaned by a man but there's no notice to explain that. Overall, we were very disappointed and didn't find it particularly relaxing due to the large numbers of children making lots of noise.

Site's response

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our site, we are sorry that our site does get quite busy with families at weekends during the school holiday, but we generally have very like minded families staying here who are very considerate to each other. We offered you a choice of the orchard or cidermill field and we were lucky enough to be able to give you a choice of where you would like to pitch, which you chose the Orchard field for your stay. We are very disappointed to read that there was noise from a boom box in our conservation area, another time we would be incredibly grateful if you could have drawn our attention to this, as we could have addressed it at the time. Sadly you drew our attention to the shower not working in the ladies toilet block when you were leaving, we dashed across to address the problem to find that the pull cord had been pulled, a simple fix, but you had already left. There were 2 other showers in our unisex toilet block, which do have lockable doors, with space to get changed so we are sorry this wasn't for you. Again many people are pleased with the unisex option to allow for families etc. We do have a mixture of male and female cleaners to help ensure that the facilities are always clean, and we have updated our signs to explain this, so thank you for this comment, they are always very respectful to our visitors. Maybe our site isn't for you during the school holidays, but thank you for your comments.

A very enjoyable stay on a beautiful, well run site
