Sand le Mere is a family-friendly holiday park near Withernsea on the East Yorkshire coast. Guests can bring their own tourer to ensuite pitches, or try a wide choice of static caravans and luxury lodges - the park caters for all holiday needs. The superb facilities include a leisure complex with indoor swimming pool, soft-play area, restaurant and bar, plus kids clubs, brilliant evening entertainment and a well-stocked fishing lake.

About Sand le Mere Holiday Park

This is a seaside holiday park overlooking Tunstall Beach in Yorkshire and just a short distance from Withernsea. Hull - the former UK City of Culture - is about 20 minutes away. Sand le Mere has pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes, along with a selection of other accommodation. There are grass only, hardstanding and premium pitches, all with electric hook up, plus ensuite touring pitches with the added convenience of your own private toilet and shower. The wide selection of static caravans are practical, comfortable and great value. The original, comfort or luxury models all have cosy bedrooms, modern kitchens and well-equipped living and dining areas. There's also a choice of pet-friendly caravans. The most luxurious accommodation at Sand le Mere are the lodges, which are stylish, packed with mod cons, spacious, relaxing yet still absolutely practical. They now include an outdoor hot tub on the terrace. Sand le Mere's location makes it easy to explore along the Yorkshire coast, with Beverley, Bridlington, York and Scarborough within reach for day trips.

Site rules and policies

Our holidays have been designed with families and couples in mind. Therefore bookings by persons 21 years of age or under are not accepted unless they are a family booking. There may also be restrictions on bookings for 'Single groups'

consisting of all male or female single people. However we may apply discretion in certain circumstances.

The usual check-in time is 3.00pm for Lodges and 4.00pm for Holiday Homes (subject to unavoidable delays). We ask that you vacate your accommodation by 10.00am on your day of departure. Guests arriving early are welcome to check in and enjoy the Park facilities until their accommodation is ready.

Things to do on site and in the Tunstall area

The park offers some of the best evening entertainment on the Yorkshire coast. The energetic entertainments team provides quizzes, shows and fun every night, and you'll also find some stars and celebs on stage.

Without leaving the park you'll find daytime activities like splashing around in the pool, or racing through the aquajets. Guests have plenty of chances to socialise and get active, so try the kids clubs or Boogie Bounce fitness. You enjoy some tranquil alone time at the fishing lake or get the whole family competing over crazy golf or archery.

If all that isn't enough to have you breaking a sweat, you can push yourself with even more sport. Trained coaches at the park will help you become the best and you can take on football, Kwik cricket or balanceability bike lessons. Some activities will involve a modest extra fee.

There's plenty to enjoy in the local area, including the seaside resort of Withernsea and its famous inland lighthouse. Spurn Point is a nature reserve with beautiful walks and wildlife spotting opportunities. Head to Hull's historic Old Town, explore its maritime heritage and fish trail, and find out more in numerous free museums. Kids will love Hull's incredible aquarium, The Deep.
