Common riding weekend stay

Great site within easy walking distance into Langholm. Staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We had a great time at the Common Riding and a lovely stay at the site with good facilities. Thanks to all the staff and committee.

Lovely site

A lovely little caravan and camping site close to the village. Lovely walks. Ideal stopover when heading North or South.

I would visit again

The park is in an ideal location for touring the area. The facilities are excellent and everything is very well kept. So much so that my on second afternoon and evening, I could not hear my audio book because of mowers and strimmers. I would visit again.

Excellent for our motorhome. Clean, quiet great for kids.

Tent site

Disappointingly small site with a very good toilet block quite a walk away from the site. Overall, I wouldn't book again.

Lovely little campsite

Fantastic friendly little site with lovely facilities for tent camping. Generous pitches well spread out so you can mix or have your privacy. Showers fab, very hot with good pressure and included in a very budget friendly cost. Fires are permitted, which in my mind makes or breaks a camping trip. Been 3 times this year. What is not to like? Selfishly hoping it doesn't get too popular.

Cosy but pleasant

Although this camp might have been one of the smaller ones, with pitches in a rather intimate distance, this was not a detriment - the place was lovely and the stay was very pleasant.

All good

All good. One family decided to have a loud disco, but no fault of the caravan park and they turned music down when asked politely.

Everything you could want

Well I was thoroughly shocked by this campsite for the price. Clean facilities, showers, toilets and washing up areas impeccable. The ground itself, well looked after, tidy and clean. Great for dogs, lots of walking areas. I'm definitely going back next summer. Fantastic stay.

Really lovely weekend stay

We had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay at Ewes Water Caravan and Camping Park. The facilities were easily accessible with a coded door and were very clean and well looked after inside. The pitches on the site were spaced out and a really good size. Overall, a really lovely stay!

Liked the stay, nice little campsite

Lovely little campsite, the warden was very nice and we had a great stay.

Amazing

This is the best campsite we have ever pitched on. After a poor experience last year (on a different site) we weren't going to go camping again but decided to give it another go after hearing about Ewes Water, and it was the best decision we made as it made us fall back in love with camping again, all the staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were amazing, and lots of food options in the town. We will definitely book to stay there again.

Perfect getaway!

This was a perfect getaway for a couple of nights. It was clean and tidy and close to the town which was perfect! Would highly recommend.

Site well managed and quiet.

Perfect campsite

A perfect campsite. It was very clean and quiet, and was a small campsite set around the local rugby club. Spotlessly clean facilities, including a wash up area within the same block as well as a washing machine which was a bonus! There was a very friendly cleaner in every day. Lots of lovely walks for the dogs as well as a beach that was not too far away, we took our dogs for a run most days. Michael was very helpful and friendly, he showed us around. Always around if you needed him or just for a friendly chat! We have booked to go again for a short break in September.

Great wee stop-over

Stayed for a couple of nights, great open space, very tidy. Shower block modern & clean and a free to use washing machine. Short walk into Langholm with wee shops. Would use again for a stop-over or as a base for surrounding areas 😁

Lovely well kept site with decent sized pitches and great facilities

Easy to book and quick communication from site regarding pitch number and checkin. The pitch was very well kept, the grass was smooth! The pitch size was ample for a large family tent and car. Plenty room. Amenities were well kept, very modern and well sized. The non-electric pitches were along the river and looked very peaceful. We had our young Collie with us and there was plenty walks to keep him happy. A really nice site to relax but within walking distance of local amenities in Langholm.

Spoilt by idiots

This was a return after about 15 years, as we used to come regularly. We recently bought a new camper and wanted to try it out for old time's sake. The site was as quiet and peaceful as we remembered and a lovely new shower block on site. Everything was fine until teatime when two families in separate ends of the lot started to get ready to go out, driving around with music booming from the car, shouting to one another across the park. I went to use the loos and the whole building was overrun with girls getting ready in the showers and toilets there was water, jewellery, hair, razors, make up and rubbish all over the sinks , showers and floor, never seen so much mess and disrespect. As we were returning later that evening, we walked over with a lovely lady who was coming to clean the block, when we walked in and saw the mess I could of cried for her . She said instead of the usual 1 hour, it took her 3 to clean it all up. We had a peaceful night's sleep until 3am when the same families returned and continued the same behaviour as earlier in the evening. So it was an early rise for us. The behaviour of these guests spoilt our stay and were thoroughly disappointed at their behaviour, it looked like these families are long term stay or visitors so unfortunately we won't be returning. Otherwise, a pleasant, peaceful site that held such happy memories for us. It's basic and good value in a lovely place run by people who care, I think you just need to be more vigilant on who comes and goes.

Great little campsite

We booked last minute. Great pitch. A lovey member of staff was cleaning the washroom facilities each evening, it was spotless when she had finished. Can't fault this spot, value for money and nice little walk round the race course to let my dogs off.

One night stay

We were only there for one night so didn't use the facilities. Also, I forgot to write down the code for them and as there is no Wi-Fi, I couldn't access the email!
