About Wagtail Park York

Off the York ring road in North Yorkshire, Wagtail Park is an idyllic family-run site with an onsite fishing lake. It's the ideal location with only a ten minute drive to the historic city of York. Set in ten acres of parkland and overlooking the fishing lake, campers and tourers have access to level grass and hardstanding pitches. Optional electric available. Note the ground can be hard, so rock pegs are recommended. If you'd prefer, you can also go hassle-free in four camping pods which offer excellent protection from the elements, heating and electricity inside. Please note, there is no underfloor heating. Tail wagging friends are welcome at Wagtail as long as you're camping and there are fantastic dog walks around the site. They cannot stay in the pods.

The site is open until 15th January and from 3rd February for the rest of the year.

Single Axle Caravan - Hardstanding Grass Touring PitchesNov 2024

absolutely a gem of a find. everything was clean and tidy. toilets and showers spotless and Pete was there making sure everyone was alright. We got to see the owls that were staying over in one of the pods. couldn't have asked for a better place. Nice dog walk around the site and close to all the shops if needed.

Gorgeous venue and the staff were lovely

VW-Type Campervan - Hardstanding Grass Touring PitchesOct 2024

A lovely site, with super clean facilities and friendly owners. It was quiet (we visited during the week in mid-Oct). It was easy to get into central York by bus from the Park and Ride.
