We loved it! Secluded, quiet and clean, it was a great place for our family camper van. The Pad Thai and Red Curry was brilliant, and they had a great little shop.

We had such a lovely stay here, such a beautiful location with lots of lovely walks right at the site. We hired bikes for an easy cycle to Barmouth and back to the pub (don't forget to book! They won't feed you without a reservation at the pub). We followed other recommendations and tried the Thai cooked by Natalie- best Thai we've ever had! Definitely will return, cannot fault the location or the staff!

All the staff are wonderful and friendly. The wild pitch we got was perfect for us, out of the way by the river, the only downfall was having to cart all our things up and down a bit of a hill, but it was well worth it. The facilities are great, lovely powerful showers and clean, we would definitely return if we were in the area again!

Best campsite we have been too. The staff are super friendly, hats off to Sean and Alex for being superhosts and always on hand to help. The location was incredible, would 100% recommend the wild camping spots. Amazing facilities including showers and toilets, even a tuck shop to pick up bits when needed. Couldn't recommend enough and will 100% be going back as soon as possible.

Stayed in the amazing woods on our own pitch, with the sound of gushing water on rocks coming from the river below. The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean and functional. Couldn't recommend it enough 👌

Great campsite, will definitely rebook. Woodland slot next time, but even the grass pitches were great. Very helpful staff. Fire pits make it.

This was a good site. We could choose where to pitch in the field and on exploring, could see there were some lovely pitches in the wooded areas which I would definitely book next time. Facilities were limited - only three showers on the whole site and four toilets next to the washing up area, all in one small building and were unisex. Showers were locked at night and also for a couple of hours during the day for cleaning. This is fine, but not opening until 8am isn't great if you want to set off early walking etc. Natalie at the site prepares authentic Thai food which you can pre-order and is delivered to your pitch. A very reasonable £9 got me a vegan green Thai curry, which I think is one of the best I have ever tasted. Very friendly helpful staff and beautifully quiet.

Lovely site with friendly owners who've really tried to give a peaceful, almost wild camping experience with well spaced pitches. The woodland camper pitches are set back above the main field, so very peaceful, which was ideal for our excitable dog (but come prepared for mozzies if you're near the stream). Showers, toilets etc are clean and well maintained and there's a small shop selling essentials. You can even order Thai food from the owner, which is delicious and a lifesaver after a long day's scrambling in the mountains! Good location with access to the estuary, Cadair Idris, Barmouth etc. Recommended.

We had an amazing time here. So relaxing and beautiful. It's location next to the estuary is ideal for bike rides and walks and I could even do a day of writing as it was so peaceful. We were on the field pitch which was great for our daughter practising her cycling and will try one of the many stunning wooded area pitches next time. Sean and Adrian couldn't have done more for us and were full of info on what to do in area. We'll be back soon.

We had a lovely couple of nights at Cefn Coed. It's a beautiful location with the woods and estuary right there for exploring. The facilities are good and there is a little shop for supplies and the staff were friendly.

Beautiful location, just a short walk through the woods to the estuary. The field had lovely views and spacious sites. I wish that I'd booked a woodland spot during the heatwave, as they were beautifully shaded. Will do next time, and I will definitely stay here again. Very friendly staff. Useful little shop. We loved it here.

We booked a woodland pitch for two nights and were greeted on arrival and shown some options, which was lovely. The site is beautiful with stunning woodland walks, a meadow and easy access to the river and lake. The facilities were great - hot showers, washing up area and enough toilets that you never had to queue despite it being busy season. The staff are super welcoming and knowledgable and would highly recommend the Thai food - it was really tasty. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back again!

A beautiful location and friendly staff. This site offers a great base to explore the surrounding areas. Some very useful items to buy on site in the shop and the individual log burners which can be rented are excellent. The owner offers a limited but very pleasant cooked this menu. The downsides would be the overall washing and ablution facilities. These were accessed via a single door and on both days they were flooded, making washing of any kind less than ideal. The issue was raised and staff tried to make amends, but the facilities are just too small for the demands of the site.

Gorgeous views from the big wildflower meadow where I camped. Super friendly staff. A sense of spaciousness as there's plenty of space between pitches. Great that this is wild camping, but there are some toilets and showers available too.

I've never quite dared to wild camp, but this extensive yet uncrowded site was a perfect compromise. I had my own pitch, nestled under a oak with the river below and could be quite undisturbed. Staff were fantastic and I used the site as a base to explore the area by bike.

This was our first nearly wild camping experience and we loved it. The location and surroundings are beautiful. We booked a woodland pitch which was really great. Only thing I'd say is the first one we were shown wasn't accessible because we have a pop top VW so mention that when you book. The second pitch was perfect with views over the valley and forest. The walks surrounding the camp are really beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the walk that ran alongside the estuary to The George pub. We used the showers and toilet block and they were kept clean at all times. In arriving we ordered some Thai food that's made by the owner and it was sensational, cooked fresh and delivered to our pitch at a pre ordered time. There is a little shop onsite, we ran out of milk but got sorted here without having to drive out to find any. We hired a fire pit and toasted marshmallows it was all in all a perfect stay. Even the rain couldn't spoil it and boy did it rain. I would highly recommend this camp.
