The name Trwyn yr Wylfa Camping Site means 'watching point' - and the site is exactly what the name suggests! Set on ten acres of land surrounded by glorious sea and mountain views, it is a stunning spot for a relaxing getaway. Campers and tourers are welcome on grass and hardstanding pitches with the option of electric. Just a 15 minute walk from the beach and within Snowdonia National Park, it's the perfect base for exploring North Wales.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, who gave us a map and showed us where to pitch up, he was very friendly and polite. The views are unreal from the top field. It is slightly sloped but nothing major (where we was anyway). The sheep are a little loud, but that didn't bother us! The walk back from the bathroom/facilities is quite a push, but nevertheless for the view, it was worth it! The facilities are extremely clean, never had an issue queuing for the bathroom/shower. The showers were lovely and hot. Communal kitchen, added bonus to keep food/refreeze ice packs. Would definitely recommend and if I was to ever visit Conwy again, I would have no doubts whatsoever in rebooking this site. My only slight criticism (which isn't the site's fault at all) is at the top field it can get very windy at night, but unfortunately that is just nature and can not be helped.

Lovely place to stay. The facilities are so clean and the location is perfect. Pitches are so spread out meaning you can't really hear anyone else, it's so quiet and tranquil with such a lovely view of the sea. The town is within a short walk with a few places to eat and drink. The beach is lovely and quiet. Would absolutely recommend.

Spent a lovely 5 days at this site. Great spaced pitch with amazing sea views. Very peaceful. Very clean facilities and though no site shop, local amenities very close by. Staff on site were very friendly. Site was perfect location for us to explore some fabulous areas. First time staying in North Wales, will defo return to spend more time exploring the beautiful countryside and beaches. Would defo recommend this site.

Lots of rules

Excellent showers. Very clean. But wow, the rules! No amplified music day or night and woe betide they know that you know someone. How these owners are in business I'll never know. And I haven't even mentioned the pre arrival phone calls we had. Quote, "if we find out you know anyone we will throw you off". We even had to hide from them in our tent and our friend on his own got sent to the back of a remote field cos they knew we knew him.
Site's response
I'm glad Jason made a note of the cleanliness of the site we do pride our selves with clean site and a well maintained site with rules to ensure that the site is enjoyed by everyone not just a few. Jason made a booking on Campsites.co.uk, however although the T&C state no music, he didn't take note of these. Neither has he mentioned that there were 4 pitches (3 of which booked via Campsites) also another non-electric pitch that was booked via us. As stated in T&C, we only accept 2 pitches on the whole site and we do state that we will ask people to leave if they do not comply with our T&C's. The guest that booked via us was located on another part of the site, as he chose a non- electric pitch, which are in another area of the site. In the days leading up to their stay, they had all contacted us individually wanting to be next to each other as a group. But although they were given the opportunity to cancel when both myself, my colleague and my husband explained the rules, they decided to come onto site anyway thinking they could just do what they wanted anyway. My recommendation for Jason would be to ensure he and his friends read and comply with the T&C they agree to, when they book a site in the future and only choose sites that accept groups if they want to camp as a group.

Just got back from a lovely 2 night stay. Facilities and site were spotless all weekend, the dog field/dog wash area is a great added bonus and not to mention, the unreal views out to sea with the National park behind you! Staff were 10/10 and always on hand to help. We were even shown right to our electric hook up spot ☺️ fab weekend and we are already looking to book again.

The only reason we have rated this site is rated 4 stars on the location is that it's close to the A55, which does run all night and there is some traffic noise all night. However, if you can put up with this (as we were happy to) the site is ideally located for Conwy, Llandudno, Betws y Coed and Snowdonia in general. Clean with good facilities, excellent sized pitches and will be expecting to return in the not too distant future. Local pub about 1 mile away serving reasonable food - what more do you want!
Spotless site with amazing views

Great site, good size pitches and all facilities are kept extremely clean. Go out of the site and turn right for a straight 25 minute walk to a lovely pub with good value generous meals. We got a taxi back and it was just £4. Easy drive to Llandudno and Conwy, we visited the mountain zoo as well but think most of the animals were asleep!

Toilet and showers were spotless, staff were helpful and site was well maintained. Good field for dog walks. I would recommend this site, all pitches were marked. Only problem was the hard ground for grass tents, but had a great 2 days so very happy and would definitely go again in the future.

Although it was a beautiful place, they don't let any fires in the campsite, which was disappointing. It was good experience.

One of the nicest campsites I've stayed at, the views over the coast towards Puffin Island were outstanding and some of the best sunsets I've seen. The toilet & shower facilities were absolutely spotless as was the whole campsite. Pitch size was more than enough too. We had 2 dogs with us so the dog field was a big bonus, it was nice to let them off the lead & run free in there. The couple that ran the campsite were lovely too. It would have maybe been nice to have a little snack & drinks place on site, but there were freezers etc on site to keep things chilled, if you didn't have anything with you. We will definitely return.

I would recommend this site to everyone that enjoys camping, whether in a caravan, campervan or tent!!! Warm welcome and relaxed siting of our tent. We would have liked an electric pitch but it was full, however, this did not hinder in the slightest. It's a must for anyone's bucket list.

The site is very well maintained and we had a friendly welcome. It is convenient for the excellent North Wales expressway. Note some pitches are on a gradient, so take your chocks if in a camper!

What a lovely campsite. We're so glad we chose to stay here as the views are stunning, especially the sunsets. Janice was so friendly and helpful when we first arrived…we could choose our own pitch (non-electric) so we selected a spot with a great view over the bay. The pitches are well-spaced so really private, however, everyone we met on the site was really friendly. The facilities are really clean and well kept and an added bonus for us was the dog walking field where you could let your dog run and exercise within an enclosed area, with great views from the bench at the top. Nothing negative to say…we'll definitely be back.
