There's not much to do around the site such as walks. However, it's a great base to travel to wherever you want as it's just off the M4. The instructions to get to the site are spot on The toilets and shower block was always clean and the showers are hot. It's peaceful and everyone respected the keep the noise down after 10:30 rule. Great stay and the weather was ok too!

Lovely peaceful site with easy access to river for dog to enjoy a paddle. Very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't realise electric was metered but our error for not reading details properly. We didn't mind paying the few pounds extra at the end of our stay. WiFi was not working for us. Unusual bin/rubbish situation so check with reception for details. Bin area was very full and on the floor, but manager rectified the problem straight away.

What a lovely campsite. The owners keep this site clean, tidy and well managed. We were positioned in a large pitch with a hook up. We had neighbours but we all had our own space on the adult side. There is a separate side for families with children, which meant we could all enjoy our holiday, including children. The facilities are kept spotless and they cater for able bodied as well as disabled. There is a shop on site and a bar, with opening hours displayed. We really enjoyed our stay and we would recommend it to others.

Pleasant location, easy access, secure with barriers. All info ready on arrival, easy set up. Good dog walking field. Shower and toilet block clean and good hot water. Easy waste, water etc disposal. Easy check out.

As this was my first outing with a caravan, I don't have not much to compare to. The site was great with an on-site bar and good clean facilities. There was very limited mobile reception and although advertised as free Wi-Fi. It didn't reach my plot. Unfortunately, the quiet area was not so quiet either. The on site shop could have more essentials like milk/ bread, as site is quite rural. But overall, was a lovely place to stay.

This is a really pretty little site, broken into 3 small paddocks each with its own unique charm. We were on the top field just below the large dog walking field. We had plenty of space, each pitch has its own hard standing and grass with a pretty view over a central grassed area with a small children's playpark. The site has only 2 showers per bathroom but having said that I was only ever the only person in at one time. The bathrooms are absolutely spotless with the hottest water of any site I've been on. The site caters for caravans, motorhomes and has its own camping pods for hire. It even has a bar on site that opens in busy periods. There is a small brook at the bottom of the site and pretty walks by the stream. I loved this site and would certainly recommend it but be aware that you have to choose carefully which electric appliances to have on at any one time as it is only 10amp. If you need to dry your hair wait to boil the kettle, it isn't a problem it is just a case of juggling and patience. There are loads of fabulous beaches and gardens and beautiful villages to visit. A lovely site and a gorgeous area to visit.

First impressions were good. We had a nice couple of nights (booked for 4 nights). The site wasn't busy and the limited shower facilities coped well. The close proximity to two main roads did mean that there was quite a lot of traffic noise but other than that, it was perfectly fine. A large group arrived on the third day and things got very noisy! Music playing and lots of kids making a lot of noise until 11pm. It was due to this that we decided to leave a day early (not refunded). Note, the rules stated no groups, but this seemed to be ignored during our stay. I'm afraid that due to these issues, I'm unable to recommend this site.

A tranquil site with plenty of opportunity to observe the wildlife. We saw a plethora of birds including very friendly robins, heron and chaffinches and squirrel during our stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Facilities were accessible and clean. Joe's Ice cream was a bonus!

We had booked for 2 nights and thanks to Tony, were able to elongate our stay for another night even though it was up to the bank holiday weekend. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the very clean facilities. It was no problem to bring our two dogs to the site. We would love to come back anytime.

We stayed at River View Touring Park over the Easter bank holiday as a family of 4 in a touring caravan on an electric, hard-standing pitch. We couldn't fault anything with the site and had a great stay. When we arrived we had a few difficulties with the electric supply into the caravan (our fault, we had tripped it) which was quickly rectified with the help of the owners who went above and beyond to make sure we were sorted, despite it being a very busy time for them. The site itself was quiet and we had a peaceful few nights sleep. The location suited us as a base to explore the area, with beaches and walks not far away. Swansea is also not far away with plenty going on for children and lots of places to eat. Whilst we were there, the owners had organised for a local caterer for two evenings who served up burgers, hotdogs etc from their own farmed beef & pork and for breakfast one morning - delicious and a really nice touch. We especially loved the bar area too which is cosy and well laid out, with a log burner, dart board and plenty of seating. There is a shower block with two showers and several toilets. This was kept immaculately clean and lovely and warm with underfloor heating. Never had to wait for the shower either despite the site being full. There is a small shop on site and a launderette if needed. There are several water supply and waste disposal areas dotted around the site so you don't have to walk far. The site is really thoughtfully laid out and a lovely walk takes you around the top and side, through the woods to stretch your legs or walk dogs. Would highly recommend to families or couples and would love to come back to River View.

Great place, quiet, peaceful and great scenic place. Facilities are fabulous, hot showers, clean toilets. Site is next to the river which is so serene. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into the place as everything you need is here, including a laundry room, fresh water and an Elsan point. The only gripe I had was the road leading into the site is probably used as a quiet hideaway for motorists to enjoy their takeaways and leave their rubbish. I would have to clean up this up if it were my business, although perhaps owners are unaware of this.

This was our first camping trip as a family of 2 adults and 3 children and it was the perfect place to start our camping journey. The check in was easy and the owners/staff were really helpful. The pitch was easy to locate and plenty big enough for our big tent. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy and were frequently cleaned through the day. We never had to wait for a shower and the fact that this site had a family shower room made it so much easier for us. The shop was stocked with essentials and the kids enjoyed going there to get what they wanted. The little park was great and was in distance of the family pitches where they could play freely and we could see them and not have to worry about them. The entertainment was great too. We went to the pub on Friday night and after going for 1 drink started 3 hours. The atmosphere and friendliness of all was great. And the food van when you've had a few drinks, was great too. I couldn't say a bad word about this place and if we return to Wales again, will definitely be booking to stay again.

What a lovely little site! On arrival I was given a map and overview of the site and then got myself set up. The facilities were very clean and all the staff from the owner, lady in the shop and the food van were amazingly friendly and I could not fault their hospitality skills (genuine nice people). The shop had the essentials, the bar was well stocked for the size and the food truck was very nice to have on rainy days when you just want to relax and not cook. The chef/cook was very friendly and had a totally welcoming nature about himself. The little walk around the site was nice and the ford was fun for the dog to splash about in. We had a great stay and would 100% go back.

We had a great stay. The weather was rubbish, but we still had a great time. The location was ideal for us to visit the area. The showers are hot and clean. The bar is a great addition and we enjoyed our drinks. The food van was a nice touch. A pizza oven would go down well (just a thought). The dog walks, and the field at the top was a wonderful spot to let the dogs run. Staff and fellow travellers were very helpful. We will call again.

We have bought our first ever caravan and wanted to go somewhere really local to find our feet and how to run everything. River View was a 5 minute drive away but felt like we were on a proper holiday! You could only hear the bypass if there were sirens. The staff were amazing and were so helpful, all facilities were really clean. Our kids spent the whole weekend on the climbing frame, which was ideal as we could supervise them from our sunbathing spot next to our caravan!! The bar and food hut is so cute, I loved the fairy lights and it was very reasonable pricing too. The only cons we had were that the drinking water tap was located right next to where you dispose of your waste, as well as where the bins were kept so wasn't very sanitary. The toilet block was quite a trek for us being at the top of the field with little ones but that shouldn't be as much of an issue next time as we plan to tackle how the toilet works. None of the cons have put us off though, we will be returning in the near future to build our confidence even further :) thank you!

Our first time and we would certainly return, probably at a weekend when the bar/food van are there. Easy walk to a nice local cafe/bar. We liked the "quiet adults-only" riverside pitch.

The site itself is lovely and the staff were really friendly, but we booked this weekend to relax and had the baby with us so picked the quiet pitch for ease when we needed to get her to sleep. This pitch was so noisy. All night the bar attracts guests, which is a lovely touch to the site but the quiet pitch being next to the bar was really not quiet at all. On both nights we were not able to settle the baby until 11/12 at night. Even when the bar was shut for the evening, some of the guests who are sited there were extremely loud. It was a lovely site but the noisiest site we have ever stayed at. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean and bar guy was lovely and friendly.
