Last-minute booking on the morning for the first night. It was very easy to book and confirmation arrived within 10 minutes. The site itself consisted of two fields with a toilet and shower block and an honesty box for supplies for the fire pits. Very peaceful, and because it was the last weekend of the season, not especially busy. There was plenty of space for many more. Good location for the N. Norfolk coast. Holt is nearby for cafes and provisions. We were there for some cycling and were not disappointed.

Barley Fields Camping was beautiful. Campsite over two fields, great facilities which included showers, unisex toilets, private toilets, two wash stations, fire pits, logs for sale, marshmallows for sale, lots of local info, charging points and recycling and general waste disposal bins. It was very quiet and peaceful and about a 10 minute drive to Wells and half an hour to Cromer so perfect location. It is ideal for couples. We've already said we will definitely be returning next year! Thank you 😊

Perfect for us. Beautiful location, perfectly basic facilities for our needs (the draw for us is the lack of "attractions" like tv/games room etc which keeps it nice and quiet). Lovely and peaceful with the sound of sheep and wildlife. Surrounded by hedgerows so lots of bird song. The sound of owls and barking deer at night-time. The only reason we gave the facilities 4 stars and not 5, was that a few more loos might be handy for busy mid summer season. We came towards the end of summer hols when much quieter, so there was no problem queuing for the loo, but I can imagine it would get busy with more campers. Other than that, all facilities lovely and clean and we'd definitely visit again (if we don't have a dog by then).
Fantastic stay

Fabulous chilled site. Great facilities...warm, clean showers and toilets. Fire pits to sit around in the evening. No marked pitches making it much easier to choose a great spot. Beautiful surroundings and wonderfully dark for star watching...saw the starlink for the first time.
Great site!

Lovely, simple, open and quiet campsite. Pitch where you like. No dogs - which is great. Great hot water outdoor type showers. Cheap dry logs and fire baskets.

Absolutely lovely campsite! We stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't fault the site at all. The on-site marshmallow packs were definitely a bonus with our kids! We will be returning next year for sure!

We loved this getaway to Barley Fields Campsite in Norfolk - serene, calm and a stunning location. The two fields are spacious and the facilities are clean and highly efficient. The campsite is wonderfully remote, and peaceful, where you are treated to pinks & reds of daily sunsets, shooting stars and spotting wildlife. Plenty of local activities - national trust walks, beaches, cycle hire etc - the list is endless! We would highly recommend! Thank you to the Barley Fields team offering this campsite - it was a scenic, memorable experience. We will be back :-)

We booked here for a change, the site was on two fields and you park where you like. Good facilities and very clean, not far from Holt and Wells next to the Sea, as we only had bicycles.
Peaceful stay, great site

This is a lovely site quiet and well maintained. We spent 4 nights and wished we stayed longer. It has two fields and plenty of space. When we arrived we could camp where we wanted. The facilities were very clean and regularly. The site was so peaceful and had lots of wildlife. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet stay.

Great location with easy access to several parts of the coastal path, plus other interesting places. Plenty of space on mainly level grass fields. The fields are very large, so if you are at the top end it is a bit of a walk to facilities. Useful info area and good washing up room. Only one private toilet washroom plus a mixed-use room with two toilets and sinks (but not much space for personal washing). So could be a bit of a wait at busy times. There are a couple of portaloos and owners say more are available at busy times. (Composting toilets would be nicer than portaloos). Simple rustic shower cubicles, but showers work very well and plenty of hot water.

I stayed at Barley Fields campsite with a friend and it was everything we were looking for in a campsite. It was peaceful, we were able to pick our own pitch, the facilities were clean and well maintained. There are clean and well maintained porta loos around the site, which were a great idea and meant you didn't have to traipse across the field for your middle of the night toilet trip. The showers were surprisingly good and the washing up room was powered by a generator twice a day so electricity was available to use. Wood and kindling was available too (as were marshmallows) via honesty box, and fire pit also available. This was like wild camping, but with clean well maintained essentials for those of us who can't quite do without. My only bit of feedback would be that we need slightly more kindling in the log bags. Lovely campsite, would definitely return and would recommend for those who want space, peace and freedom. Comes with added wildlife such as bunnies and the occasional visiting sheep.

Brilliant location, so much open space and big skies. It was also incredibly quiet and relaxing. As website says, no measuring out of plots, plenty of room. Portable firepit & logs for a fiver. Good, clean facilities. Maybe some additional toilets for size of site? But some portaloos dotted about. Only 1 night stay but felt a great escape. Would defo come again.

The rural location was so peaceful. The facilities were very clean. My dad and I stayed at this site with my two small children for 2 nights and we all loved it. Kids couldn't wish for more, a place to run around and play football and without disturbing anyone because the 2 fields are so big. A fire pit was provided and we also got a bag of logs with booking the bell tent, and a bag of marshmallows. USB charging point is a big bonus :) . Quick communication with the owner who was very helpful. With the beach only 15 minutes drive away, I could recommend the site to any age.
Perfect campsite!

Had a lovely stay at Barley Fields! Toilets were clean, great showers and nice touches selling fire pits/logs & marshmallows 😊 Well situated if you have a car to get to many beaches and the pub in Binham was super!

I booked camping site to stay with my boys for the night. Sadly weather wasn't on our side, but we still made best out of it. One of the reasons I picked this site was the possibility of fire pit. In Slovakia, we usually do sausages over the fire on the stick and this was the great opportunity. Facilities very really clean and we had everything we needed for the night. I am sure we'll be back in the future.

We booked on the day through Campsites.co.uk as the weather looked perfect this weekend, we received confirmation through very quickly. The Campsite was HUGE! It was well set back from any roads, therefore peaceful and relaxing. Upon turning up we met the friendly owner who let us know where the facilities where and that we could choose anywhere we fancied on the two large fields. We loved this, as the large site meant we had plenty of space rather than some sites that give very small pitches. We were also able to drive onto the site and park right next to our tent. The toilets where clean and tidy, the showers where new and easy to control the temperature system. The site also had phone charging capabilities, local restaurant menus and places to visit as well as bags of logs/kindling at a very reasonable price. We made use of one of the free to use fire pit and a bag of logs! Over the weekend we visited Wells Next The Sea, only a 15 minute drive away and made use of the beautiful weather. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to return, we highly recommend Barley Fields Camping!
