We camped for 3 days with our caravan. Very impressed. Brilliant field, love the touch of having wooden tables dotted about. Showers and toilet very nice and clean. Also love idea of the 🔥 fire pits, nice touch. Thank you xx

One of the best campsites I have stayed in over 50 years of camping! We liked the space, flat grass sites, no dogs and quiet. A loo/washroom just for women is needed to gain 100% satisfaction. Frank.
Very good, thank you

This campsite deserves 5 stars for everything, its perfect, truth be told. The owners are lovely and super helpful and made our stay, despite the weather, comfortable. While I would love to see the facilities to expand, it does the job of a campsite so can't ask for much more. Thank you!

Despite windy weather affecting everyone's tents and our awning, we still had a fantastic time. We benefited from tucking ourselves into a corner next to the hedge. It wasn't too busy, which suited us well. A good location to cycle from and explore Holt, Cley etc. Everyone kept to the rules - quiet in the evenings chatting around their fire. It was a great idea to have fire pits and everything provided for a nominal cost for a good blaze. Big skies day and night - lovely. Toilet facilities were a bit limited when it got busier on the bank holiday weekend. Showers were rustic style - really good though. Liked the 'no dogs' for a change! Map of the area on the wall was very useful and all the info. Tried some of the recommended places and had no complaints.

This campsite is actually very large but numbers are restricted to ensure that the facilities do not become overloaded. This makes for a very pleasant, peaceful and safe stay. Lovely for families. Well off the beaten track. Local pub is walkable. One thing that I would suggest is that the pricing structure is a little odd. It costs the same price per night for a couple in a medium tent as it does for one person in a tiny tent. Seemed a little unfair. The firepits are a bit of fun so long as you are careful.
Good value spot for the area

An excellent non intrusive stay. The main facilities could have been bigger, with more toilets.

The field was lovely and spacious. I appreciated the spacious washing up area and I particularly liked the huge local maps on the wall, very helpful. Just what I'd hoped for.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were just disappointed that we hadn't booked earlier so we could stay for longer than the two nights. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back again.

My wife and I both loved staying at Barley Fields Camping. It had everything we expected and wanted - a rubbish-free site, peace and quiet away from the nearest road, no antisocial behaviour or loud music, great showers, lots of space between tents, clean toilets, hot water for washing up, friendly people. At 6am we sat and watched a pair of hares on our field!
Superb

This site was really well-run - extremely clean, family friendly, and other campers stuck to the rules so it was calm after 9. Plenty of space for everyone and one field even quieter than the other.

Lovely campsite. Easygoing camp owners and great two fields. Loads of tents all shapes and sizes. Everyone so friendly to me as a solo lady camper. Met a great couple who helped me sort my gas stove out. Shower toilet black-lit up all night so easy to see in dark. Overall fab. Nice and quiet for families lots of games of tennis and cricket in the centre of each field. Lovely!!

Brilliant place. Brilliant facilities. Not too far away from the beach, closest is Wells-next-the-Sea / Holkam which are lovely beaches. Not too far from a petrol station and shops. A proper camping experience, couldn't ask for more.

Lovely location. The owners did their best to keep the loos clean but it was a very busy, wet bank holiday weekend and 3 loos simply weren't enough for the number of campers. A second block, so they didn't have to be unisex, would be so much nicer. Also a shame that big group bookings were allowed, as this meant the no music and quiet after 10pm rules that suited us (because we have small children) weren't kept. That said, we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the area very much. Dawn chorus was fabulous and no road noises, which is a treat.
Site's response
Hi Amy, thank you for your review. I'm sorry it was such a wet bank holiday for your stay! Sadly the weather was relentless all weekend but its always nice to hear our efforts to keep everywhere clean were appreciated. The campsite is serviced by 5 loos in total and a separate men's urinal block which is about right for the ratio of campers to a total of 25 pitches. However I am interested to hear your comments with regard to a separate block and this is something that is hopefully in the pipeline for future seasons. It remains our policy that group bookings are not accommodated, so unfortunately, it seems that on this occasion, several individual bookings were grouped together. I am sad to hear about the noise on site, please do inform us if there is a problem as we will endeavour to sort out quickly and discreetly. With best wishes, Caroline.

This is a simple campsite with a fair set of services and far removed from a Park Dean or Hoseasons affair. Clean and trusting, where it's implied you will be a responsible camper. You can see stars at night, which I really like, the showers are functional and if you can stand portable toilets, fine. There are toilets but a bit limited (2). Lovely touches like fire pits and picnic tables. It's remote and signage could be bolder. There is no shop nor provisions so you had best be self sufficient, not for amateurs I suppose. I will use it again because I don't want all the frills.
