Ashbourne Holidays the Campsite is open to members of the Camping and Caravanning Club and is adult-only and dog free. The site is perfect for tourers with their own facilities. In addition, there are three glamping pods Oh Deer, No Deer and Yes Deer, a romantic retreat, perfect for couples, the self contained pods offer a luxurious glamping holiday with all the home from home touches and log fired hot tubs too!
About Ashbourne Holidays Glamping and Campsite
Nestled in a quiet and charming countryside setting with a neighbouring field of deer, Oh Deer, No Deer and Yes Deer pods make an idyllic romantic retreat. The three pods are identical in design but finished with their very own quirky touches. Welcoming adults only. These inviting abodes are ideal for couples looking to escape everyday life and relish in the scenic splendour of the Derbyshire Dales. The pods are luxurious, self contained pods with log fired hot tubs, couples only and pet free! The campsite is set on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Marston Montgomery, You'll be within easy reach of the Peak District National Park making it the ideal base from which to explore the area. The campsite has five hardstandings that are fully serviced, including electric hook up, water and grey waste drainage. Next to the site, you'll find a small herd of Sika deer. Please note, this is an adult only and dog free site.
The site is open all year round, however, this is weather dependent and at the owner's discretion.

Site rules and policies
Advanced booking is required and payment to be made at the time of booking.
Please quote your Camping and Caravanning Club membership number in all correspondence.
1. Entry to the campsite is between 1 pm and 7 pm unless by prior arrangement
2. Vacation of your pitch(es) is by 12.00pm
3. Full payment needs to be made at the time of booking.
4. Refunds are not normally given without a considerable cancellation period or justifiable reason.
5. The site has a no pets and no dogs policy.
6. Manor Grounds Campsite is a quiet site and we do not tolerate any disruptive or aggressive behaviour.
7. The Camping and Caravanning Club UK Club Site policies, terms and conditions must be adhered too.
8. Ashbourne Holidays is an adult only site, No children.
9. We do not accommodate group bookings.
Please note this site has no on-site toilet and no shower facilities. Tent and camper van users must bring their own portable toilet.
We do have a chemical waste point.
Our office hours are from 9am to 7pm.

Things to do on site and in the Ashbourne area
Alton Towers is just over a 15 minute drive away and offers a fantastic day out for all the family. Make a splash in the water park, get competitive in a round of golf, relax in the spa or experience some of the thrilling rollercoaster rides.
For an action packed day out, head to Go Ape, Buxton. This high wire forest adventure course is filled with rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides set high in the trees tops. Based at Poole's Cavern in Buxton, the course is suitable for a wide range of ages (minimum age 10) and offers hours of fun to those looking for an exciting outdoor adventure.
Carsington Water is well worth a visit with plenty to do including kayaking, cycling, sailing or fishing.
Also pay a visit to the Peak District Mining Museum where you can explore the forgotten world of a Derbyshire lead miner. Step back in time and wonder at the tools they used and the clothes they wore.
If the sun isn't shining, the Uttoxeter Entertainment Centre includes an ice rink, cinema and 8-lane tenpin bowling alley with glow lighting.
There are also a number of National Trust properties in the area including Shugborough Estate near Stafford. Roam this mansion house and see the servants' quarters, working farm and walled garden. There's also the Grade I listed Calke Abbey country house near Ticknall.
Why not also visit the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire - Chatsworth House. Roam the corridors of the house, stroll along the gardens, meet the animals in the farmyard, before catching your breath with a spot of afternoon tea.
Haddon Hall is the Duke of Rutland's seat and contains a grand Tudor hall and stunning Elizabethan gardens while Tissington Hall is surrounded by a ten acre garden and arboretum.
Bolsover Castle also has plenty to do for the family. The Discovery Centre has audio-visual displays and extensive grounds to explore with lots of green space for a picnic. There's also panoramic views over the Vale of Scarsdale.
For the history lovers, head to the medieval ruins of Tutbury Castle. Historical re-enactments take place throughout the year.
