The Batch Campsite is in an idyllic location atop the Mendips with views across the sea. You can choose to go almost wild camping with tent, your own fire pit and forage for wood. Loads of great walking to do and at least half a dozen pubs with restaurants in walking distance. Within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge, Weston and its beaches, Glastonbury and Wells!

About The Batch Campsite
This tent only campsite has a classic, back-to-basics vibe, a small peaceful flat field situated just three miles from Cheddar and enjoying a picturesque location at the top of the Mendips. There are views across the channel to the heights of Pen y Fan and the lights of Cardiff. Pitches are all on grass and are surrounded by lush woodland where you're sure to spot an abundance of wildlife. If you don't want to bring your tent with you, then opt for one of the batch bell tents. The 5m all-weather bell tents each sleep up to six, complete with camps and self inflatable mattresses for four (bedding is not provided). For added comfort, you will also be provided will a table and chairs and a camp kitchen with utensils. Outside you will also find your own solar shower and steel fire pit with a griddle, perfect for some al fresco cooking underneath the stars. Peaceful and set at the end of a private road, the site welcomes BBQs and can supply tasty produce and meat for you to cook. There are also communal fire pits dotted around the camping field. Dogs are welcome.

Things to do on site and in the Churchill area
You're in an ideal location for walking and touring the Mendip Hills with plenty of nearby paths and cycling trails to explore. The site is also situated on the Mendip Pub trail if you're in need of a tipple or three.
Cheddar is just three miles away so start planning your day trips to famous Cheddar Gorge and venture into Gough's cave. Wookey Hole is just beyond Cheddar about a 25 minute drive. In the opposite direction is the North Somerset Riviera stretching from Burnham on Sea via Brean and it's Aquapark and the pier at Weston Super Mare all the way to the calm of Clevedon's Victorian seafront.
