Located in the sweeping landscape of the Peak District National Park, Knotlow Farm is a tranquil campsite in an ideal location between Buxton and Bakewell. Great for campers and tourers, pitch up on one of the site's spacious camping fields (family-friendly or adults-only). For those glampers, choose a retreat in one of the pods with a hot tub! Many walking and cycling trails are nearby, including easy access to the famous Limestone Way.

We had a lovely stay at Knotlow Farm. We were only there for one night, so didn’t actually spend a lot of time at the campsite! Facilities were good, and we enjoyed that the camping field we were on was adults only.
Wonderful time on the campsite

The facilities were very spacious, plenty of them and very clean. The vending machines in the shower block were a nice touch and at reception they had a little shop with everything you could have wanted or might have forgotten to bring. Hosts were very friendly, the camping area was large and we had plenty of choice on where to pitch, since it was so quiet on the day we went.
Lovely stay!

Just got back from spending 1 night camping - such a beautiful space to camp. Good facilities, great prices for food and fire pits. Amazing breakfast sandwiches! Just a shame about the wasps this morning, which made me drop my sandwich after only a couple of bites, haha!
A great site and the facilities were brilliant

Being able to have campfire was brilliant, would definitely go again. The site catered for all (family and couples) and it is set out very well with great facilities. The fire pit was great and location was fantastic.

My wife and I are inexperienced campers and staying in a 2 person tent may not have been the best idea (my wife's first experience!). Although weather was not brilliant, we really enjoyed our stay. The Maple site was nice and quiet and we had no issues with noise. The best part of our stay was the people who own and run the site - nothing was too much trouble. Whilst cycling on Friday evening I got soaked to the skin in a thundery shower and the owner was more than happy to take my wet clothes and dry them (I declined her kind offer, but it is the thought that counts!). Finally, I needed a jump start on Monday morning and within 5 minutes of my request Carl was there to get me started and on my way.
Fab last minute short stay

On the day I stopped, pubs close on a Monday and the café in village was not open all day.
Nice clean site and good facilities

Had two nights here with two young kids. We had a nice time. The site was clean and facilities were better than we expected. The shop had everything we needed. We ordered a pizza one night, which was nice, and we hired a firepit for both nights to roast marshmallows. Needing 20p to use the shower was a surprise, but it works well to ensure they don't get hogged. A card ready 20p dispenser would be handy as not many carry cash these days. The area didn't have much, but a short drive led to some nice spots.

Our first visit and it was brilliant. Family owned and run site with a number of fields. Some for large campervans and others just for tents and smaller VW size campervans. Facilities are first class. A large, separate building that has toilet and shower facilities for both sexes and hot and cold drinks machines within this facilities building. Reception has detailed maps of the layout of the site and fields along with essential items in the shop. Firepits, logs, kindling, pizzas and breakfast are all available and are reasonably priced. Dogs are welcome on a lead at all times. My old 13 year old dog loved his chair.

A really great site in beautiful rural surroundings. The location is ideal for exploring the Peak District with a couple of pubs within walking distance. The facilities such as the showers and pot wash area are well maintained and clean, and the added extras such as homemade pizza are great. We stayed on the adults only site so it was very quiet. The other fields appeared to be busier but there was still plenty of room and a nice 'family friendly' buzz.

Easy to find beautiful location in the Peak District with easy access to Buxton and Bakewell. Great walks locally. Multiple fields, presumably so they can separate adult-only and family bookings. We stayed with two young children in the Chestnut field. Quiet site with drinking water points readily available. Toilet and washing up facilities super clean and tidy. Really good. Shop has all the things you may need or want, plus have pizzas and breakfast items to order in advance. The family owners are all really lovely and will help you with anything. The pods also looked great, and a fantastic addition for anyone needing was an indoor horse exercise building. We would definitely recommend and also return for more exploration of the area with our young boys.

Very clean, lots of facilities and extremely helpful service. Would absolutely recommend, make sure you bring change (20ps) for the very good and very clean showers though. Thank you very much!

We had a great stay at Knotlow Farm! Unfortunately, the weather was not as we hoped and a small leak in our tent meant we made the sad decision to head home a day early. However, we plan to return to Knotlow Farm next year with a new tent and hopefully in better weather! Facilities were clean with good showers. Hopefully next time we can make more use of the fire pits and use the BBQ we had packed in the car! Definitely recommend.

What a beautiful area Knotlow Farm is situated in. The facilities available are first class. The people that own the farm and camping areas have done an excellent job to cater for people's needs and wants. We will be going there again, hopefully this year.
