Campsite was okay but basic. Only one male shower in the toilet block and one sink. Shower was clean, toilet not quite so. Site is in a quiet location, but road is very narrow with no passing places for anyone towing a touring caravan.
Great little campsite

Lovely campsite just outside Welshpool next to the river. Clean and well kept site, good pitches. Toilet block quite far from campsite but not a problem for us. Only one shower which I imagine in busier periods would be a pain. Overall, good site, would recommend.

Location of shower/toilet block in relation to campsite was poor. Only two toilets and one shower is inadequate for the size of campsite. Elsan facility could have been more enclosed. We were told 2 weeks before attending that the Saturday BBQ would be 2 to 6pm. It stopped at 4pm, which was too early for us to eat and therefore, we had to go to the supermarket to buy supplies for our evening meal. No kitchen either on Sunday lunch or evening, which was not great for a bank holiday weekend. Our granddaughter enjoyed the playpark. Shame some of the other campers didn't take young children into consideration when being noisy and playing loud music very late at night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but could have been better had the kitchen changes been communicated. Toilet facilities nearer to campsite is a must.
One small gripe

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The site is situated away from the main road and close to a river, so potentially very peaceful, dependent on your fellow campers. We did not have a great experience with ours as there were the ever growing types of campers who thought it is acceptable to carry on loud behaviour late into the night and let their children out to play out early, so they could lie in bed and nurse their hangovers, but this seems to be becoming the norm. There is no 'quiet time' specified, but if I were the site caretaker, I would impose one and take a walk around the site to enforce it, but one can dream eh? There is a children's playground. We did not have any children with us, but were pitched right next to it. My advice is to specify a pitch away from it if you are visiting without kids as it gets very noisy early in the morning. There is a very limited washroom that has only one sink and one shower for male & female, so queues are common. They weren't kept very clean. There is only one washing up sink. The block is situated about 1/4 mile away from the campsite, so quite a walk. We saw people driving to the toilet block. My advice is to give it a try.

This was our 1st camping trip as a family and we couldn't of picked a better place. The dog paddock is a fantastic facility.

Lovely quiet site. On site staff were helpful and present. Basic but adequate facilities. Pub was in need of an upgrade but food was lovely. Toilet/shower block was quite a walk from the camping field and in need of modernisation.

Lovely place, just a shame it's such a long walk to toilets from hardstanding pitches.
Best first trip, we couldn't have found better

Fantastic place, nice people, nothing too much trouble. Down to earth people, no strict regulations. The on site-ish pub is awesome and again same adult professionalism, fantastic food and no fussy frills. This was the first trip out in our Motorhome...this will take some beating! We will be back with grandkids soon, thank you so much, Chris and Deb
Great site, lovely pub, Wardens very friendly

Stayed here for a few nights, the Wardens managed to change things around to get us by my son. Very friendly and helpful Wardens, clean site. Lovely meals at the pub... would come again.

The owners are nice and friendly and the location is good with a lovely river running through the campsite. The field was very wet, so they gave me the option of parking on the hardstanding, which was good for me. There are limited showers/toilet blocks which may become an issue in the summer (or they may have only opened one in the spring).

We decided to book a last minute camping weekend away and came across this campsite! Lovely location and great pitches! Was great for the children and the dogs! (there's a small dog field area!). The only negative was how far away the toilets are from the pitches. Maybe it would be handy to have a couple of portable toilets for those middle of the night toilet trips - especially with children! Otherwise, we had a really great stay, considering the weather wasn't on our side.
We will be back

Lovely site, good facilities, nice and quiet. Relaxing with the river flowing through it. Biggest downside was the distance to the toilet from where our pitch was. Very friendly and helpful people running the site. We will definitely be visiting again. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back in the future.

Thank you for a lovely stay here. It was a quiet relaxing site with nice trees and a brook. The children liked the park and all felt very safe. Little bit of a walk to facilities from the camp field but well maintained. Nice to to be close to the stream train.

Had a great stay here, clean, friendly staff and all the facilities we required during our stay. Huge grass area for kids to play, enclosed dog run for dogs which was great for us as we have 2 lurchers with high prey drive and awful recall. Play area for kids, shop for essentials and pub which serves food so all good. Will be back when we next need a base to explore Wales. Thanks for a peaceful, happy stay.

First time camping with my new trailer tent and we loved the place. The owners were lovely, helped me get parked up, told us where everything was and let us explore. On site park was fab - a few swings and a slide all fenced off so kids are safe. We spent ages walking around following squirrels. Shop was great, staff also lovely. The wash room is a little walk away, shame it's not closer so kids could go alone when needed, but doesn't put us off - we will be back.

Great campsite. Plenty of space. Showers and toilets were very clean. Staff were lovely and very helpful. There is a shop that has essentials and the owners were very friendly. There is a pub on site also. Both only open at weekends. There is no Wi-Fi but wasn't a show-stopper for us. The toilets were 400 of my little steps from our tent, but it's a lovely walk, with the river next to you. The location is a gateway to beautiful countryside and the steam train leaves from Welshpool. Will definitely return.

Very nice site, plenty of space and nice walks around site. Amenities were very clean. However, there was only 1 shower for ladies and 2 toilets - same for the men's. On busy periods I felt it might not enough.

Great site with excellent toilet, shower and dishwashing facilities. Ok park for children and enclosed dog walking field. No camp fires allowed. Toilet block is situated away from the touring field and could do with being closer but it is very clean with toilet roll. Clubhouse has a bar and entertainment but no food is served. The shops of Welshpool are within easy reach.

Lovely site pitches are really good size. Loads of open space around. Toilet block was spotless and park very clean. The only bad point was that we couldn't have a fire pit.

Had a brilliant stay, facilities were always clean. Owners were always available if required and happy to help - gave us lots of advice for day trips and local places to go for food and general visits. I know a lot of people have mentioned that the facilities are a few minutes walk, however, the owners are fully aware of this and have plans for additional facilities within the camping area - the walk currently is quite nice alongside the river Banwy. Very peaceful and relaxed site. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - kids play area right by the field, nice trip to lake Vyrnwy only 30 mins away!

Just ideal this place. Quiet, clean, river access, lovely owners/team, big open field for camping, great value, just bloody lovely! River access and swings over the river make it so special for the kids. Really well kept and clean, toilets and showers bang on, team lovely, loads of space!
