About Alpine Grove Touring Park
Set just outside the town of Chard, this family-friendly woodland site is an ideal base for exploring Somerset, within easy reach of Devon, Dorset and the Jurrasic Coast. Just 20 minutes from Lyme Regis, spend days out at the beach enjoying an ice cream and evenings wildlife spotting from your pitch. For tents and small campervan campers, there are ample pitches where you can enjoy the feeling of seclusion in a totally natural setting, with an abundance of both flora and fauna. There are non-electric woodland pitches set on a leaf littered floor, along with some electric pitches which are in a woodland grassy area with a mix of sun and shade. Caravans, campervans and motorhomes are served with hardstanding, naturally draining and level pitches, arranged in an arc with the freedom to erect awnings. These pitches have an optional 10 amp electric hook up. Some pitches are bathed in sunshine while others enjoy gentle shading from the leaf canopy of magnificent oaks. Picnic benches are arranged around the site for eating alfresco and are ideal for picnics and BBQs. Raised fire pits are also welcome onsite so don't forget the marshmallows. As well as camping and touring, the site has five luxury Scandinavian log cabins, four with private hot tubs. Friendly dogs are welcome, as long as they are on leads.
Camping and touring is available from April until October. The site's luxury log cabins are available throughout the year.
