The Paddocks Certified Location is a small, well-manicured campsite located just outside Wisbech market town in the Cambridgeshire Fens. The site offers non-electric grass pitches for tents and motorhomes, as well as a handful of fully serviced pitches for motorhomes and campervans. Boasting modern showers, resident peacocks and an excellent pub within 15 minutes' walking distance, it's a great spot for friends, families and even the dog.
About the site
If you're looking for a peaceful family-friendly Fens getaway with close proximity to the Norfolk and Lincolnshire borders, look no further! Set across three acres of land, the site offers large non-electric grass pitches for tents, motorhomes and campervans with views across open fields and farmland, as well as a handful of fully serviced grass pitches for motorhomes and campervans. In order to protect the natural surroundings and ensure a peaceful atmosphere for guests (resident peahens and peacocks included), only five units are allowed onsite at once. There's plenty to do for all ages and interests in the surrounding area, such as exploring the rich network of walks, fishing in the dedicated fishing lakes and rivers or visiting the breweries, cinemas and National Trust properties of Wisbech town (roughly 10 minutes away by car). If you fancy a tipple or a hearty pub lunch, the dog-friendly Chequers Inn is a pleasant 15 minute stroll away along a public footpath. Further afield, Snettisham Beach is 45 minutes away and dubbed 'the sunset coastline' in light of being Norfolk's only West-facing beach. Four-legged companions are more than welcome but should be kept on leads around the site. Don't worry - there are plenty of dog walks nearby for them to run wild!
