About the site
Set on a working farm, guests can enjoy the clucking of chickens and the background buzz of a real farm going about its business. Named after the famous Anglo-Saxon estate, a short walk will take you to the National Trust site which is home to a royal burial site, precious artefacts and a historical ship.
The site is home to 15 fully serviced 10m x 12m grass and sand pitches and five non electric grass pitches. All of the pitches allow tents and tourers and RVs with up to six guests.
Located just off a B road, guests can enjoy easy access to many of Suffolk's most popular destinations. It's ten minutes in the car from Rendlesham Forest, great for walking your pup or 20 minutes from Orford and 25 minutes from Framlingham.
Evenings can also be best spent cooking up a BBQ, as long as it is raised from the ground. There is also a selection of fire pits available to hire with wood for sale.
Dogs are welcome, with up to two allowed per pitch.

A note from the site themselves...
When I retired from the Health Service, I decided that I needed to have something to do that would allow me to meet people. I started volunteering at the wonderful Anglo Saxon Burial Site here at Sutton Hoo and quickly realised that we needed to have a campsite as there were so many visitors arriving that were asking if I knew of anywhere to stay.
My husband Garrow and I then planned the campsite from scratch to offer, simplicity with all the services. Lovely big pitches with little hedges to surround each pitch offering some privacy once established. The kind of site we enjoyed when camping in France.
I really enjoy meeting people and making new friends who return each year. It is wonderful to watch the children playing and making friends by the climbing frame and swings while their parents enjoy rest and relaxation while keeping an eye on them.
Each year we look forward to opening the site again and welcoming campers to our particularly beautiful part of Suffolk. I hope to see you soon, Helen
Pitches set on grass and sand with water and drainage hook ups and optional 16 amp electric. Suitable for tents, roof tents, trailer tents, campervans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs. Pitches are 10m x 12m.
All good a lovely nice quiet site, very near to Woodbridge where we have friends. So good we stayed an extra night and will probably return again in the spring.
We stayed just one night after a visit to Sutton Hoo with our granddaughter, aged 9. Our pitch number was marked on the board on arrival and the fully serviced pitch was level and spacious. We were welcomed by 2 jack o'lanterns, which were skilfully and amusingly carved!
Naturally the ground was wet after all the rain we have had this autumn, but it was not muddy. The grass was short enough that we didn't get too wet walking around and our little one enjoyed the swings and play equipment and was delighted that that there were new friends to play with for a couple of hours.
The showers and toilets were clean and we made use of the dishwashing area as our grey water does not drain into a pipe. Good value pitch.
Our granddaughter was thrilled with her Halloween treats a day early provided by Helen, thank you. A really positive and jolly experience all round.
A rustic campsite with basic facilities. Hook up and water tap by every pitch. Small site with approx 20 grass standing pitches. Each pitch is a good size and bordered by hedges and back onto fields or woods.
Right next to Sutton hoo and near to Woodbridge town and many nice walks. Showers and toilets and a washing up area. Small park for children. Fire pit hire. Nice owners and the price is per pitch, not person nor vehicle, so we can fit 2 vans. It's just the sort of site we love.
