I found this campsite well below the expected level these days. I thought it was a poorly maintained. Staff were non-existent and those I did meet weren't the most welcoming. It felt rough. Showers were ok but at the lower end of the scale. Pitches were scruffy and the grass was unkept and full of thistles which isn't ideal for a dog. Didn't try the bar as it just didn't come across very welcoming at all and very little entertainment on site.
Enjoyable though pricey

This was a trip to try camping with a dog. The place was easy to find and near lots of activities and the town. Only drawback was the site didn't have much space around the tent, or space for larger dogs off the lead. But otherwise, beds were really comfy and the place was very clean.
Needs some TLC

Site needs a fair amount of TLC and lacks maintenance. On the arrival day, there were heavy machines including a tractor, roller, dumper and excavator working directly opposite us, preparing new pitches which was noisy, dusty and not great with 2 young children. On the day of departure, the showers ran out of water by only 10am so many people couldn't wash which was not good at all. The location is OK but otherwise we would not recommend, especially with the hefty price of over £90 for only 2 nights.

Lovely location with a 20 minute walk into Swanage. Roomy pitches and a few nice clean showers, but could have done with a few more as the queues were big in the morning! A bar, shop and refreshment van (great for breakfast baps!).

Was a lovely campsite to stay at, having a local shop, bar with a pool table and play area, and a refreshment van where you can get breakfast, ice creams and slushies! The showers were AMAZING & there was no need to have tokens! There were many different areas for campervans, motorhomes and tents. I would definitely go back!

Friendly staff and good plots. We were under the impression that the site would have a shop and restaurant however the shop was only open for a limited period and the restaurant wasn't open at all. There was a burger type van on site with outside seating. When we arrived we were greeted with machines working until 5:30/6:00pm and on the Sunday morning, they were working again at 7:45am. Not really acceptable. After we booked in we never saw anyone else who appeared to be in charge of the site. Even though it was the beginning of half-term, the site didn't appear to be ready.
A lot of potential

Never seen a 2 1/2 acre field cut with garden lawnmowers before! I think the place has a lot of potential, but could do with a bit more attention to detail, perhaps a lawn tractor with a grass collection system would help, bits of cut grass ended up getting everywhere. The shower/toilet block, although kept clean a fair percentage, were out of commission. Even if all were in order, I felt they were insufficient for the number of pitches.
