Enjoyed our stay, great view from top field, though a long way to the loos. Very muddy by the tap/wash up near the loos, sink was rather low and conducive to backache! We arrived about 8.30 pm and saw a sign for the cafe, but not the one for checking in, so we never spoke to anyone from the site.

Thank you for letting us stay at your campsite. Was a different experience from normal life in the city. Lovely location, peaceful, polite happy people, close to the beach, but do advise best to drive around as there are lots of hills. Overall was a great stay 😊
What a weekend!

So idyllic. Make sure you walk to the bottom of the campsite and 1 minute down the foot path for the most breathtaking view. I briefly met the lady running the campsite and she was so kind and lovely. The whole vibe feels wild and free with critters (horses goats and kids) all over the place. Don’t miss the food truck for what was a 10/10 breakfast sandwich (get the white crusty bread). Wish I could have stayed longer but weather wasn’t permitting as I don’t think my tent was waterproof but this place is honestly a hidden gem ❤️. If you’ve never been to Portland before I also highly recommend it! It’s wacky and weird with a lot to explore!!

We've done loads of camping with the family in the past and have got the bug again! We had a lovely time. Open fire cooking great. Compost toilets adequate and clean. Spectacular views and great base to explore. Thank you.
Solid basic camping with very friendly staff

Basic camping and you get what you pay for, but at £10pp per night very reasonable. Toilets were compost toilets, bring your own loo roll as it was only available sometimes. Location was very pretty and good if you want to do coastal walks but a bit far away from anything, although not an issue if you have a car. Staff were very friendly and nice. Animals around which is also nice! Think there was food available but we didn't have any. Would recommend if you like basic camping, would go somewhere else if you prefer more facilities though!

It was a great stay. But, first off I didn't receive an email after I advised the campsite both parties camping were going to arrive a fair bit later than stated on booking. When our friends arrived first, they were searching for a place to pitch and it took a while before they were told there is an overflow. It seemed like a bit of a free for all. Ten o'clock seems a bit early for a check out too. That said, all small things really; great place, great location, and really good coffee served too.
