Mattiscombe Farm Camping is a back to basics site set on a working farm, just 15 minutes walking distance from beaches in South Devon. Consisting of two camping fields, Summerpark and Waypark, this peaceful site can host tents, campers and tourers. Enjoy the sea views, walks or venture to nearby towns such as Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe.

About Mattiscombe Farm Camping
A spacious camping and touring site, just 20 minutes from Salcombe and 15 minutes to sandy beaches. It's a lovely base for exploring South Devon's coastline with incredible sea views over Start Bay right from your pitch. Relax at this peaceful, back to basics site with plenty to do nearby. The first field, Waypark, is aimed toward self-contained units with nine pitches suitable for motorhomes, caravans, campervans and tents. The pitches allow up to six guests each. The second field, Summerpark, has 20 pitches for tents and small campervans (up to 5m length), sleeping up to eight people. Well behaved dogs are welcome on site but please keep them under close supervision or on the lead at all times. Firepits are welcome, but the site asks for them to be kept at a reasonable height off the ground so they do not damage the grass (bricks are available to help). Fire pits are also available to hire onsite (subject to availability), and there are logs and kindling for sale. Please note, ground campfires are prohibited. This is a peaceful site and as such operates a quiet policy between 10pm and 7am.
Summerpark field contains composting toilets, hot camping showers, a cold water tap and a washing up station. Waypark field contains another cold water tap and chemical waste point with wash down tap. There's also rubbish and recycling in both fields. All facilities are accessible by the whole site.
The closest pub, the Church House Inn, is just half a mile away in Stokenham. Torcross/Slapton Sands is a 15-minute walk away, where you'll find more fantastic pubs, cafes and farm shops.

Brilliant campsite, very clean, only downfall was the very narrow roads to get to the campsite. But nothing the campsite can do about that. Really enjoyed our stay and a beautiful view.

I'm really glad that I selected this campsite at Mattiscombe as the final one on our journey with the kids to England in 2023. Besides the superb setting, we appreciated the lovely view of the sea, the peace and quiet, the clean toilets and especially the hot shower. We had a great time at the seaside at nearby Torcross, after which we realised that two nights were not enough, so we stayed for one night longer to spend the day near East Prawle. The journey to the ferry was much longer as a result, but well worth it.

Things to do on site and in the Kingsbridge area
Both the South West Coastal Path and National Cycle Route 28 are accessible right from site and are lovely routes for exploring the area.
Slapton Sands beach is just a 15 minute walk away and provides golden sand beaches, perfect for sunbathing, swimming and playing with your four legged friends.
Hop on the foot ferry at East Portlemouth and visit the idyllic town of Salcombe, just 20 minutes away and filled with quirky independent shops, bustling streets, incredible eateries and a beautiful harbour.
