Lovely family break

We stayed for 2 nights, but wish it was longer! The site was great, with good facilities and right on the beach, plus the pitch sizes were generous. There was everything you could think of, a beach toy library to borrow toys, bricks for disposable BBQ's and doggy spa to clean off after the beach. Really well ran. Will be booking longer next time!

Super dog friendly

Perfect weekend! We are totally going again, regardless if it's electrical or non electrical pitch! Clean everywhere, spacious pitches, friendly and helpful staff, shop on premises stocked up with all things you'd need. 5 min walk to beach which had a lovely surprise- the seals. The have a dog spa 😍 if your dog gets too sandy 😅 and a dog recreation area 🤩🤩 and a lovely outdoor dining area with hog roast 😍😍.

Amazing week at Waxham Sands

We arrived to a very warm welcome by the office staff. All the staff were friendly and so kind. The campsite facilities were top notch and so clean. The location so close to that gorgeous beach is amazing, seeing seals such a highlight. Thank you

Basic

A very basic campsite for tents, caravans and motorhomes. There is no club or bar, and just a small site shop selling basic amenities which is only open until 6pm. Good flat ground and nice clean toilets all around the site. Only one shower block for the whole site that needs improvement, shower was the old type, pushing a button every 20 seconds for water at a set temp, and the shower heads were clogged so only gave a dribble of water. It was a hilly walk to the beach, with no access for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Overall ok for a weekend but definitely not any more than that.

Seals, sun and sea

We purposely picked this site for its location and we were not disappointed. Wildlife, dog walking and a calm, clean and very friendly site. Reception staff were all friendly and helpful. The 6amp electric supply was an issue for some people but this is being upgraded to 12amp and was no problem for us.

Amazing place

It was our first time here. Really good campsite, very good facilities, showers were lovely and hot, and toilet blocks were very clean. There's also a lovely onsite shop with all the bits you may need, and a nearby beach where I saw plenty of seals. Will definitely come back in the future if I'm that side as it was a very peaceful campsite :)

Love the changes

First time staying since it was taken over, and I must say, I'm impressed. I love that the park is so dog friendly too, dog treats, doggy poo bags and even a doggy spa to clean up after a muddy walk. Shop was well stocked and reasonable, everything was clean. The new park is great too, even my eldest played on it One of our kids was sick during the night and the tumble dryer was not working, however, one of the staff offered to dry it up at the house for us. All staff so friendly. We stayed over the jubilee and it was nice to see people out and enjoying the love music. Looking forward to our next stay :)

Our holiday

It was a very clean site with a shop and play area. Just across sand dunes is the beach where you can walk with dog and see the seals. Toilets were cleaned morning, afternoon and evening. Showers were clean and even had doggy spar. I would go again as such a lovely site

Great stay had by all

Before arriving, we were told by another person that the holiday park was like a 18-30s club! We were apprehensive, however, this was not the case at all. The facilities were clean, easily accessible and staff were very friendly and keen to help. Location was great and even though it is a large campsite, there was little noise.

Week before Jubilee bank holiday

First time - Jill and husband working hard to 'lift' park. Nice shop, very welcoming, liked the 'wild' location - i.e.. out from any built up areas - just over the dunes to mainly sand beach. Walk one way to Nelsons Head and Horsey. Walk the other to Waxham Barns - tea rooms or further to Sea Palling - facilities at Sea Palling are a bit average and dated, but has a nice safe beach. Also, liked that the park is run to ensure whilst everyone is having fun, no one is ruining it for others. Noted the security guy asked people visiting to move cars to car park, rather than surround people in, which people obliged to without issue. I guess it's worth noting if you have visitors by car, get them to park in parking opposite and walk in. Planning on going back as soon as we can!

Lovely site. My only problem with the pitches, is that they're really close together.

An amazing place to stay

Clean, short distance to the sandy beach (3 min), as a bonus you can see seals. 2 things could be improved, first the shower (this could be open up to 11pm in case you are coming back from a trip) and second is the shop (very few options available.) But I still rate it as 5 stars.

Waxham Sands

Site was cleaned several times daily, toilets and showers very clean for such a busy site. Beach very close by and some lovely walks. Website does need correcting as awnings are permitted at this site, but unfortunately when I booked it stated they weren't allowed so we left ours behind. Only downside for us was some dog owners did not clean up after their dogs, which is a real shame.

Little gem

I have been here many times in the past, but was really surprised at the changes that have recently been made - in a good way. The reception area & shop has been updated & is light, airy & welcoming. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The toilet & shower blocks had also been updated & were super clean. There is a definite eco feel about it, with litter grabbers available if you feel like clearing rubbish off the beach, however this was also clean. Love the changes made & would definitely recommend to others wanting a holiday near the beach, but a short walk from the broads too.

Lovely site

We loved this site, so open and quiet. Everyone was lovely, both the staff and other holiday makers. Just a stones throw from the beach which was also lovely and full of seals. The onsite shop had all your basic needs and fresh bread and the young man behind the counter was very nice and helpful. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean (sadly some of the showers where being revamped but that's not an issue as it helps to improve the site further). The only thing I would say (and this is the reason facilities got 1 less star) is that we are early risers and like to shower early but the showers did not open until 8am, would of preferred 7 or 6am (just me being picky I'm sure).

Great 4 day stay

I arrived on Friday and the staff on reception were lovely, they went out of their way to help and were warm and friendly. The site shop is good for the little things you might forget. The site itself was very clean and had security guards patrolling. The dog walks in the area were wonderful, very close to beach. Good spot to watch the seals from a distance. The only thing were the showers, the push button didn't stay on for long and no pressure in the water either - but that's my only complaint! I would highly recommend this site.

Enjoyable stay

A last minute booking turned out to be better than a lot of parks I have stayed on. The location was fantastic, my children loved climbing the sand dunes and seeing the seals. Good pitches, site relatively clean and tidy. An onsite facility for tea or coffee or pastries would be excellent (unless I missed them!).

First time out in Monty the Campervan

This was our first outing in our campervan, and decided to try out Waxham Sands. We were greeted on Friday by two lovely staff members and we were given a welcome bag which we didn't expect, what a lovely gesture. The site itself was so tidy and clean, the toilet blocks have just been fitted out and were perfect and so clean. The shower block was the same, perfect. The shop had everything you need, the staff were so helpful and it was dog friendly. The site is so close to the beach and the seals; perfect. We will be going back again for many visits. Great site! Cream scones were amazing!

We loved the site, all the staff were very friendly! 1st class service to Jill who got the power sorted and ran round to our neighbours with kettle of water just so we could have a cuppa!

Fantastic holiday

My family stayed at this site over the bank holiday weekend and had a fantastic time. While the site has new owners (Lovat Parks), the team looked after us extremely well and it is in a beautiful setting. If you are after a quiet, relaxing site without the commercialism of the major groups, this is perfect. We loved being so close to a beautiful beach and the kids loved looking at the seals. It has a wonderful atmosphere on park and we were lucky with the beautiful weather. We have already booked to go back later this year and the prices are great value.

The perfect place

The most relaxing, most beautiful place. Everyone was so super friendly from the moment we arrived (we received a welcome pack) till the moment we left (with a wave goodbye). The beach is absolutely stunning, my kids loved the parks, and the little shop with homemade cakes and sausage rolls was a winning bonus. Could not recommend enough and will 100% come here again! X
