About Waxham Sands Holiday Park
This welcoming holiday park is set in the village of Waxham, on the iconic Norfolk Coast, surrounded by breathtaking views. The golden sands of the beach at Waxham and Horsey Gap are just a few minutes walk from the site, the perfect spot to play and explore or relax and unwind. Tents and tourers are welcome across the site's range of grass pitches, each allowing up to six guests. Pick between electric grass pitches up to 9m in length, and premium grass pitches up to 10m in length, each with an electric hook up. Guests here are in a prime spot for seal spotting at the famous Horsey Gap or days out on the beach where you can borrow a body board from the site and try your hand at riding the waves. Situated with the Broads National Park, you will also be surrounded by beautiful walking routes and waterways to explore. If you're wanting to enjoy a spot of al fresco cooking, gas and charcoal BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground. Dogs are welcome onsite, so make sure to make room for your four-legged friends! There are also holiday homes onsite.
Waxham Sands Holiday Park is open from 24/05 to 30/09 in 2024 and from 02/05 to 30/09 in 2025.
Site facilites include shower and toilet facilities, baby change, which are disabled-friendly. There is also washing up area's and an onsite shop.
There are two playground's for the kids, a communal safari dining tent with games to play, Vendor food court, a communal firepit, a playing field, a beach toy library, table tennis, boules court, free body board hire, tandem bike Hire, herb garden, nature area and a laundry room.
For dogs, there is a doggy shower and an outdoor beach shower for the humans.
It's just a short walk to the sandy beach of Horsey Gap, with the Nelson Head pub a five minute drive and the Reef bar a ten minute drive from the site.

It was wonderful that we could walk from the campsite to the beach. Clean showers and toilets which are free to use. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The site was very clean and tidy and facilities were very good, all staff we had contact with were outstanding, love the shop but can we have some adult flip flops for next year please and would it be possible to stay open a little later in the year for touring campervans. thank you lorna & tony jex

The beautiful Waxham sands! What a lovely place to stay right next to the beach but sheltered from the wind from the high sand dunes. The beach was super quiet (see photo of beach) and pretty much a private access from the corner of the camping area. All areas were super clean including the toilets and showers! The little shop at reception was perfect and had a bit of everything for if anything was forgotten. Very dog friendly, dogs allowed in the shop and there was also a doggy spa perfect for rinsing off after a swim in the sea. In an evening they had different food trucks at certain times if you didnβt feel like cooking (even a dessert van!) Very close to some lovely walks. We went to the water mill just down the road which is also national trust. Incredibly quiet, looked to be great play areas for the kids but did not go that close as we donβt have any kids! Oh and the beach was perfect for seal spotting! Every time we went to the beach we saw 10+ seals bobbing by the shore.

With direct access to the beach, the site is a prime location for days walking along the beach, catching a tan or enjoying a dip in the sea. A short walk will take you to the famous Horsey Gap known for its wonderful sea-spotting opportunities.
The National Trust - Horsey Windpump is just a five minute drive away. Here you can climb the five floors of the restored windmill with glorious views across The Broads to enjoy from the top.
For some family fun, Wroxham Barns can be found a 25 minute drive away. The leisure complex offers everything from farm animals, indoor play, shopping and restaurants!
