Very relaxing campsite and nice area for walks, shops and pubs. The owners work very hard and keep facilities clean and tidy. Would benefit from extra toilets and showers on busy periods and would benefit from dog area. Would visit again.

What an amazing stay! We were lucky with the weather and everything was perfect at Hill Farm. We didn't even leave the site! The hot tub was lush, it was a very quiet and peaceful place. Staff were very friendly and supportive, and there was always wood available for the hot tub. Facilities were spotless, everything was fantastic. We can't wait to go back and take our children with us! The views are beautiful and it's such as great space with the lake and green areas to go for a walk. Definitely recommend!

We hired a deluxe belle tent with hot tub for the night. It couldn't have been better. Tent and hot tub were clean and easy to use. Shower block and toilets also clean and conveniently located. The campsite was very peaceful and well kept. All in all, an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Fabulous place to stay, great location. Lots of dog friendly pubs not too far, lovely walk down the canal just moments away on foot. Great places to visit close by also. Fab area for the caravan, super shower blocks and toilets.

I wanted a detox from life with a romantic twist for my anniversary. Location wasn't as hard to get to as I expected, only 30 minutes from where I live in Nottingham and it was easy to get to places like the Derbion for a day out and local shops for items we didn't bring with us, like drinks. The lady who took care of the site was always pottering around and easy to get to if you needed her. She made the additional effort of lighting the fire ready for our arrival and kept it going in case we wanted to use the hot tub the same day we arrived (which we did) and offered the light the fire the 1st morning we were there, as we wasn't sure how to. Lovely little stay, heater works a dream in the pod and the place was lovely and quiet during our stay. It felt very private even when you're in the hot tub at the end of your decking. Love the additional touch of fairy lights around the decking when it is dark out. Would love to turn in the warmer months to use the outdoor space more & use the bbq!

Great value glamping pod. Lovely site, clean and well maintained. The hot tub was a bonus and just the thing after walks in the immediate area on the Trent Mersey Canal or around the nearby Calke Abbey. Facilities excellent and not quite 5 stars as loos and showers were in a nearby block. Extremely helpful site management - a very enjoyable stay.

A lovely little campsite - good facilities for a caravan. Toilets and showers generally clean & monitored regularly. More mirrors would be good away from the sinks (difficult to access with a party of 14 year old girls onsite!) Could do with a few more hooks etc to keep clothes dry in the showers, especially outside (hence not 5 stars.) Overall a great base for the area with friendly staff on hand 👍

Location was excellent and this is a large well looked after site. The only reason I've given slightly less in location rating is because the campsite is very near the A50, which is a major trunk road. The noise from the road continued throughout the night, but please be aware this is not the campsites fault, the location is lovely and the staff that I met were great. The facilities were clean and tidy and well looked after. If staying again (which is likely as I will stay there when training up the road) I would probably go for a hard standing pitch as they are further away from the road, so probably quieter. Would recommend this site, but just note it might be a little noisy from the road

On arrival, everybody was really friendly and said if I need any thing just to ask. We stayed in a pod, which was very clean and had all you needed inside for a 2 day stay or longer. Hot tub was fueled by logs so great fun starting the fire and was amazed how quick it heated up. Wash facilities sre very close and also very clean. I have arrived home today and have booked for October this year. I'm very lucky I only live 20 mins away, so its now going to be my little retreat. Perfect bbq, so easy to light with logs and food tasted loads better with wood.
