This camping site & country pub are in the quaint village of in Barton, Bidford-on-Avon. Offering Cask Marque-accredited real ales, home-cooked pub food and regular entertainment at your doorstep. Conveniently situated just a short stroll from the river and the town, it's the perfect base for a countryside getaway. The site welcomes tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans, with 20 non electric pitches and 25 electric pitches for caravans or motorhomes. Families are well catered for, with kids' games available and a bouncy castle from May to September. For outdoor enthusiasts, fishing opportunities are available (please ensure you have a valid licence) and there are beautiful riverside walks to explore. Whether you're looking to relax with a drink, enjoy a hearty meal, or immerse yourself in nature, this site offers the ideal setting.

The Cottage of Content is a country pub located in Barton, Bidford-on-Avon. Recently refurbished to an exceptional standard, we pride ourselves on offering Cask Marque-accredited real ales, delectable home-cooked pub food with a twist and regular entertainment to suit all tastes.

In addition to our inviting pub, we feature a campsite that welcomes tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans. There are 25 electric hook ups for caravans or motorhomes and 20 tent or non electric pitches.

Conveniently situated just a short stroll from the river and the town, it's the perfect base for a countryside getaway.

One car per tent is allowed on the field - please park next to your tent or on the parking area provided on the field when the site is busy.

Things to do on site and in the Alcester area

Being in Warwickshire, how could you miss Shakespeare's world in Stratford-on-Avon and perhaps a performance from the famous Royal Shakespeare Company. Kids will also be blown away by Warwick Castle, with its knights in shining armour, arrow shooting archers and fun workshops for families.

From there, head south to get a feel for the Cotswolds. The chocolate box style village of Broadway is popular and why not have a stroll and a bite of something in pretty Chipping Campden, or charming Bourton on the Water.

Bargain hunters will be interested in the street market hosted in Moreton in the Marsh and there's another with a great turn out at Wellsbourne on a Saturday.
