Crofts Barn

Crofts Barn is a quiet campsite for adults only in rural Oxfordshire, at the most northerly point of the Cotswolds AONB. The site offers hardstanding or grass pitches with optional electric hookup, suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes. Best yet, four legged friends are welcome to camp with you and there are plenty of excellent dog walks nearby.

About Crofts Barn

If you're seeking a tranquil retreat in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, this adult-only site could be just the ticket. Located twenty minutes from Banbury market town, the site offers hardstanding pitches with electric hookup for caravans and motorhomes in a clockface layout, each divided by hedges for privacy. These pitches are reserved for Caravan and Motorhome Club members, so make sure you have your membership prior to booking. For non-members, there are grass campervan pitches with electric hookup surrounded by wildflower meadows and non-electric camping pitches with stunning valley views for tents only. Only ten touring units and five tents are allowed onsite at the same time in order to maintain the peaceful atmosphere. Fancy a lie-in? Go on then. Around the site you'll find mowed footpaths adorned with solar lights and metal hares scattered around in the meadow, as well as a communal fire pit - perfect for watching the sun go down and meeting fellow campers. Access to the pitches is through an electric gate, so you can be sure of a high level of security. Please note that in order to maintain this, extra visitors are not permitted access to the site. However, The Chandlers Arms and The Bell are within walking distance and make great meet up spots for friends. Although the location is rural, you're certainly not alone! In fact, expect regular visits from an abundance of wildlife, including curious deer, muntjac, squirrels, woodpeckers, badgers and more. Well behaved dogs are welcome but should be kept on leads around the site. There are plenty of nearby dog walks to explore off-lead though!

Onsite facilities include toilets and showers, a washing up area and communal firepit overlooking the valley.

For a glass of the good stuff, The Chandlers Arms is approximately a half hour walk away while The Bell is ten minutes by car. If you need to stock up on essentials, visit Tysoe Village Stores, a five minute drive away.
